[ Convex Industries ] A "producer's producer" if ever there was, the mention of a new dBridge production is capable of reducing jaded lifers within the steely inner citadel of DnB to hushed anticipation. Responsible for some of the most outward looking and fresh takes on the genre this past decade - ever, in fact - through myriad solo works, curation of Exit Records and, perhaps most importantly, helping spawn the Autonomic [...]

It seems like only last week we were discussing the last time these two got together and they're back again with dBridge's new Velvit monikor providing the second release for Jon Convex's "Convex Industries" imprint. First track "Passing Encounter" recalls classic drum n bass while maintaining a modern production edge while "Scarlett" on the flip is a lovely slab of 4/4 darkness driven by a classic bit of reece bass. With dj support from the likes of Jimmy Edgar , Martyn , Benji B and more, [...]
DB: What project is the main one for you right now, what are you working on? P: I am coming to the end of finishing my debut Planas album, The Long Game. It's been a while in the making but... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Jon Convex returns once again with another solo outing away from Instra:Mental and for this three track monster he gets old pal dBridge involved on vocal duties. Opening track "Lied To Be Loved" is a dirty bass driven techy affair. "Zero" goes for a more 4/4 vibe with some funk thrown in, while "Stay" is all about the synths and the soul. This marks another quality release of the 3024 label which continues its policy of multi genre producers laying down the best quality tracks. Released on May [...]
DB: What was going on to make the tracks sound like this? C: I wrote Parallels after writing a lot of deeper tracks and wanted more of a dancefloor orientated tune. I felt like writing something a... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

It's that time again where we review some of our top picks from the previous month. We get deep into the new releases from April as well as some due to drop early in May. Once again its been a bumper month with loads of new EPs that have made the juices flow. First up is this dirty house bomb from the guys behind the Feel My Bicep blog. Producing under the name Bicep their latest tune "$tripper" has been in many top tens since its mid April release and we ain't any [...]
Tweet Here we go! We've been itching to share this with you since a sneak-preview, terrible-quality video of the tune being mastered appeared on the internet as part of a classic Blu Mar Ten tease campaign. The trio released their third Love is the Devil LP in October last year and we loved it . There are three releases showcasing remixes of tunes from the album coming soon, the first featuring dBridge and golf's [...]

Argh, fucking hell. I can't get this fucking tune out of my head. It's been played loads over at Rinse FM, I think the last few podcasts by Flight and dBridge really nailed this one into my brain. It's Amit's You Look Better Dead track featuring Rani on the beautiful / creepy vocals. A solid dnb track with indian music elements and proper dark sinister vibes. I don't even want to waste time to tell yall what I think of it just listen: Here's the official preview: [Amit - You look better Dead (feat Rani)] [Amit - Manic Minor] Don't [...]

For what it's worth, here are some hot acts in drum and bass.
Everyone who goes clubbing in London knows the London clubbing landscape is always changing and evolving, and dare I say it, there's a lot of chaff out there. So, to sort the wheat from the... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

If anyone likes looking at pictures of big ugly futurist concrete lumps totally pwning/ruining their surroundings then you could do a lot worse than checking out this blog . If anyone likes listening to big ugly futurist DJ mixes then check out some of these. Here's D-Bridge on RinseFM this week; I hear that his club sets these days feature plenty of tunes at the leisurely speed of 160BPM. Must catch him again sometime soon. This is across the board goodness however, including dubstep, melodic downtempo synthsoul and straight up [...]

This track is making massive waves around the internet in the UK simply because it appeals to the UK Bass heads, the dubstep massive and the drum and bass crew from whence it came. Produced by @Dubphizix with @Skepticaluk and featuring the rhythmic artistic poetry from Strategy aka @BrokeNenglish1 this enigmatic drum and bass release does not follow any standard rules nor does keep itself inline with the rest of the genre. It is almost a groundbreaking release. The track is of a mellow and relaxed pace with a haunting [...]

It's been a long time coming but Loxy and Resound's debut album "Burning Shadows" has finally arrived on dbridge's Exit imprint and it's a ragga infused tech drum'n'bass belter. The album's 13 tracks feature eerie sci-fi style atmospheric soundscapes with plenty of menacing dub bass and sparse d'n'b percussion. I've been listening to this a lot in the last month and, while it has one eye on the past, it has the other firmly on the future and perfectly encapsulates their unique sound. Stand out tracks for me are [...]

[ Crosstown Rebels ] Mathew Jonson on Crosstown Rebels? I was as surprised as you might be until I actually heard "Dayz." Though the Vancouver-hailing, Berlin-based producer's metronomic and stubbornly self-perpetuating momentum is as intact as ever, here the producer's toolbox is dried out, stripped down and reduced to a new level of basic. It's not exactly "mnml" - it's too boisterous for that - but it's something: "Dayz" is [...]

2) Mz Bratt - Selecta (Mister Tweeks Remix) (Unreleased) [...]
