I feel quite down at the moment because of this exquisite release. Leeds label Dispatch first appeared back in 2001 and has been quietly but confidently releasing top quality beats from the likes of Marcus Intalex and Survival . Hey! Good news, everyone - by closing down 6Music and Asian Network, the BBC will have enough money to build 60 new DAB transmitters across the country. This will allow even more people to enjoy listening to the empty space left by the closure of the services in high quality digital no sound.
It's not all troops and priests on commercial DAB, you know. Or, at least, won't be from next Monday: NME has found itself a national DAB slot and will be trying it out for eight months to see if there's an audience who are desperate to listen to Claire Sturgess, who have managed to buy a DAB radio set but couldn't, for some reason, tune in online or through digital television.
