As we get set for the final episode for the popular NBC show, Chuck airing on January 27, I mournfully compile a list of some of my favorite songs from the most recent season. We've watched Chuck (played by Zachery Levi) grow from a dorky nobody working for the "Nerd Herd," into a full blown kick-butt spy. Every year throws up one record that comes along and unexpectedly sweeps you off your feet. In 20112s case that record has been Mount Modern by Dad Rocks! I'm really new to the folk-pop band from Iceland that go by Dad Rocks!. The band just released a brand new album called Mount Modern , and it is truly something special. The songs are heart-warming, catchy, dreamy, and relaxing. It's a perfect combination for a calm day. Considering the chilly reception that Lulu received from music critics, and considering that the project only seemed worse in light of their live performance on Later...with Jools Holland earlier this week , it seems a little disingenuous to keep posting the rest of their Holland appearance or the entirety of their concert from Germany.
