Day 299: DAF - Plastic It's amazing what you can find at Archive.org. My final post for this week is from Italian netlabel, Laverna.net . The track is from the newest release from the label by DAF . "The second release by DAF brings us beautiful, warm and nostalgic atmosphere of the distant childhood. (Deutsche Amerikanische Freundschaft), jota John Peel on uskaliaasti sanonut pitävänsä teknon esi-isinä. Vinyl befreit! Heute habe ich mal wieder Gutes getan. Ich habe Schallplatten aus ihren engen Kisten auf dem Flohmarkt befreit und ihnen ein neues Zuhause bei mir im Regal gegeben: DAF - 1st Step to Heaven (LP, 1986, Dean Records) Das mit Abstand schlechteste DAF -Album. Für den amerikanischen Markt produziert und mit einen ungeheuer geschmacklosen Cover ausgestattet. Hatte ich aber noch nicht.
