Yesterday, you might have spotted, the press were all over a story about Blur and drugs which took references Damon Albarn makes in new Blur movie No Distance Left To Run and inflated them to make it sound like it was heroin what did for the band. Today, if you try to visit those pages - such as the Daily Telegraph page at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/cul ture/music/music-news/6993617/ Damon-Albarn-admits-Blur-were- affected-by-heroin.html - you'll just get a 404 error page. If you try the 3AM Girls' story which was yesterday at http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs /news/2010/01/15/damon-alba rn-heroin-tore-blur-apart-1158 75-21968690, you just get dumped at the front of the Mirror website without [...]

Filed under: News , Movies , UK New Blur documentary/concert flick 'No Distance Left to Run' premiered in London's Leicester Square on Thursday night (Jan. 14), and the recently-reunited band were on hand to walk the red carpet and chat to fans who braved the wintry weather. Older and wiser these days (with cheese-making and a fledgling political career on their minds as well various musical projects), the Britpop survivors admit in the film -- apparently for the first time -- the true extent [...]
Massive Attack release a new cut feat. Damon Albarn from their upcoming album, 'Heligoland'.

I didn't know old versions of Rio Ferdinand and Luis Nani were Massive Attack. Here's my review: Massive Attack 's Heligoland is bloody brilliant. Being the duo's first release since 100 th Window in 2003, the expectancy weighing on Heligoland's shoulders is massive. But the fathers of trip-hop have created a master piece to rival the days of Tear Drop and Unfinished Sympathy. Slowly drawing the nation back in over recent months with a taster EP called [...]

Merry Christmas everyone! Though I don't really celebrate this holiday and find it just like any other day...I figure I'd conform to the conventional gift giving and give you fellow readers some presents! In the form of music! Hoooorah! I never share full albums on this site because all the songs I post are samples in hope that you fall in love with the artist and support them by buying their albums and going to their shows and yada yada yada you know the deal! But I thought I'd make an exception on this holiday and share 3 favorite compilations [...]

Massive Attack have no shortage of guests vocalists for their forthcoming album 'Heligoland.' From Elbow 's Guy Garvey to Mazzy Star' s Hope Sandoval , Damon Albarn to TV on the Radio 's Tunde Adebimpe, their fifth LP is chock-full of stellar contributions. But this cast of collaborators, which also includes Martina Topley-Bird and long-time friend Horace Andy, doesn't include some artists the Bristol group tried and failed to get for the album. David Bowie was one. And Massive Attack's Grant Marshall -- aka Daddy G -- tells Spinner [...]

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News , UK Blur frontman Damon Albarn has said he hasn't thought about the band since the reunion dates the quartet played during the summer. It's been pretty mellow on Rubbish lately, thanks to the all-consuming finals week that marks the first few weeks and middle of December. All around me I'm observing the calm before the storm, cloaked bundles of University of Utah students walking, instead of scurrying, to class, lofty thoughts of snowboarding and Christmas Break floating in [...]
