Hanni El Khatib is about to hit the studio with Dan Auerbach in the Black Keys' Nashville Studio. But first the garage-y Rock N Roll dude will hit the road. Dates above. Funny tidbit, Hanni El Khatib was at the infamous Vice A$ap Rocky/Trash Talk SXSW Show I was at. LA Weekly has a good story on Hanni with that riot/show as the setting,

"For over 40 years, Dr. John has taken the exuberant and raucous sound of New Orleans under his wing, preserving its lore and channeling it through his own style of rhythm and blues. This spring, the good doctor comes to BAM with an extraordinary entourage of musical guests for an artistic residency, offering three distinct perspectives on his formidable career. In "Locked Down," Dr. John is joined by The Black Keys guitarist and singer Dan Auerbach to premiere hard-hitting tracks from their widely anticipated [released] album (out April 3). Los Angeles Times (MCT) -- It may come as a surprise that the character of Dr. John, whose new album, "Locked Down," was released Tuesday, was birthed in Los Angeles. The mythical voodoo pianist-conjurer is so intertwined with the stories, secrets and rituals of New Orleans that to suggest he is anything but the embodiment of the bayou borders on heresy. But Dr. John - that is, the persona created by New Orleans singer, songwriter and pianist Malcolm John Michael...

What a history that is! Last night though on Fallon, Dan Auerbach joined the Dr. on stage to help perform the Locked Down featuring track. Check it out at the top via The [...]

Whenever Dr. John graces a festival lineup, there's a party abound; throw in Dan Auerbach , and you might as well call it a Super Jam. It's far too early to get Bonnaroo heat strokes right now, but it's hard to stave off the flashbacks during this clip. Catch it below, courtesy of The Audio Perv . [...]

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News Evan Agostini, AP Usually when one graduates to the next level of success, they only get one formal ceremony. In the case of the Black Keys and their long-gestating rise to sold-out arena status, however, Thursday night served as their second round of pomp and circumstance at Madison Square Garden. Tour companions Arctic Monkeys opened the show with a spirited romp through selections from [...]

Black Keys' Dan Auerbach is a busy man as of late, which seems to be a good thing. Auerbach co-wrote and produced several songs off Grace Potter and the Nocturnals upcoming album The Lion the Beast the Beat , which will be out this June. Our first taste of his influence comes with "Never Go Back," a song that Auerbach co-wrote with Potter in just one short hour (not sure if I'm impressed or disappointed). Check out Rolling Stones' exclusive premiere here .

The Lion the Beast the Beat . Uma dessas colaborações, produzida e co-escrita por Auerbach , acaba de [...]

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals have released a new single from their upcoming fourth studio album, The Lion the Beast the Beat . According to Rolling Stone , "Never Go Back" was produced and co-written by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach. Potter says the track came about somewhat by accident, while she and Auerbach were "fucking around" with the rhythm section on an old Casio keyboard in his studio, which is "like a sex shop for gear pervs." On that note, head on over to Rolling Stone to stream the smoky, flute-infused "Never [...]
Filed under: News Jason Merritt, Getty Images Patrick Carney of the Black Keys is sorry that he's not sorry, basically. Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News AP Photo, Evan Agostini NEW YORK (AP) - There were few flashing lights, the backdrop wasn't overloaded with visuals or videos, and the band rarely spoke, if it wasn't in song. The Black Keys are rock stars, and their traditional rock sound electrified Madison Square Garden on Monday night. The duo performed more than 20 songs in a 90-minute show that was exhilarating, [...]

Michael Kiwanuka & Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) - Lasan Most people like to get hyped on Fridays. Get the blood flowin' with phat beats and loud bangers before they have a weekend of shenanigans and hooligan-ish behavior. I on the other hand like to keep it real on the down low. Sit back and de-stress over the previous week and recharge the batteries for the upcoming week of living. This track comes off Kiwanuka's upcoming album Home Again. Boy I hope it's going to be on wax, this guys [...]
