How did I miss this first time around?! Rest easy, oh searching searchers and questioning questioners, thou hast found your oracle. Also, he's totally right about Hollyoaks - that show is like crack . Just say no, kids. Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - Thou Shalt Always Kill Currently touring the UK ; coming to New York in March. Get ye out and see them play! [...]
So good was the response when Scroobius Pip & Dan Le Sac released "Letter From God To Man" as a free - for one week only - MP3 download, that every time they tried to take it down, the complaints flooded in. Now in another extension of the season of goodwill and free MP3's they very kindly sent me over a crafty little bootleg. There won't be amy prizes for spotting the source, indeed until midway through I thought it was the original! At the 2230 mark though Dan switches the beat and Pip conducts a [...]

Ever since the entirely fresh and novel 'Thou Shalt Always Kill' paraded itself across playlists and dance floors nationwide, those who believed their ears were wrapped around a one-off intellectual accident must be pretty embarrassed by now. Essex duo Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip have since proved there's more in their musical pocket than a supposed blend of Borrell vs. Wilson. Obviously. "Things in life aint always quite what they seem, there's more than one given angle to any one given scene. So bare that in mind next time you try to intervene, on any one given angle [...]
Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip Thou shall not read this post in bloglines or other desktop readers and merely injest the information without actually downloading the track below and putting it into itunes. Who knows? Maybe you'll stumble on the track in the tube when your iPOD's on shuffle and decide not to go to that horrific day job you hate and start making the world a better place. Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip .... NOT just a band. Thou shalt not [...]
Myspace is still good for one thing and that's the music. This is the first time I've noticed them actually paying artists to provide free downloads and here's to hoping they continue along these lines. (Click the banner for the link) Freshly Mixed is a good site for downloading mixes by your favourite DJ's and artists. for example, here's one with Prof Green and Ghetto . (Click the pink tape for a link) On that tip, The Beats, the label that is home to The Streets, The Mitchell Brothers, Professor Green [...]
Hopefully you've heard of Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip by now. The 2 piece come from a small town in England and achieved quite a bit of notoriety with their single "Thou Shalt Always Kill". Since then, they've come out with several other awesome singles, but no full-length album as of yet, unfortunately. Dan Le Sac creates flawless beats that sample artists not so common to the hip hop realm (Radiohead, Interpol...) and support Scroobius Pip 's poetic flow. From telling you to never question Steven Fry, to A Letter [...]
Somehow Colorado made the top list of only 4 U.S. cities that Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip are hitting in December (full dates below). I find this unclassifiable duo from London to be nothing short of intriguing, and I will eagerly go to their show if only for a much-needed change of pace -- " Thou shalt not make boring, repetitive music " indeed. Even though it's been seven months since I first posted their video for "Thou Shalt Always Kill" ( dubbed by NME as their Track of the [...]

If someone ever says to you "this band/track is going to be fucking massive, you just wait" write it down. Put it somewhere safe, save it as a textfile on your computer or something. They want to be the one who knew that band or track before it went massive, before it was cool. This, apparently, was one of those tracks. dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip - Thou Shalt Always Kill -nek

I was so happy to finally seize summer by the . . . horns (I started a metaphor I can't finish) this weekend and go camping out in the Colorado wild. Well, as wild as you can get being twenty minutes from downtown Denver, but still -- camping is something I've been meaning to do the last few summers and it just never seemed to happen until now. There were actual tents and campfires involved, and I couldn't be happier. And really who knew that s'mores and beer went so well together? So much awesomeness [...]

Before I dive head-on into the Next Big Nashville previewing this week, I thought I would offer up a little mini-mix to help propel you towards the upcoming three-day weekend. This weekend, I was asked to DJ a half-hour set at the Nashville Cream anniversary party, which went down at Mercy Lounge on Saturday night. I'm kinda honored they asked me to be involved and I had a blast at the party - dollar shots, dollar beers and excellent tunes are always a good time. Just one word of advice to the ladies out [...]
Without questioning Glastonbury's status as THE festival, people do get a little carried away talking about the bad weather as if they actually enjoyed waking up with their tent submerged in a mixture of lager, mud, and the contents of half a dozen portaloos. Add to this the fact that you have to dedicate several days of your life, and 15 forms of ID to actually stand any chance of getting a ticket, and many are understandably looking at alternatives. Over the past three years Spain's Benicassim festival has been invaded by the British charmed by the no brainer [...]
Dan Le Sac Vs. Scroobius Pip - Thou Shalt Always Kill Ik ben verslaafd aan dit nummer... Myspace

_ dan le sac vs scroobius pip - thou shalt always kill Le clip tourne depuis quelques mois sur youtube, le single est sorti en avril chez Lex Records . I just heard "Thou shalt always kill" by Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobious Pip on the radio the other day and just about lost it! This track takes aim at your music-loving friend, you know - the one that still claims the Beatles are still the best, and rips! The song is a simple techno melody, but what really makes it worth while are the lyrics - Dan Le Sac lays down the rules of the music scene, preacher style! Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobious Pip "Thou shalt always Kill" [...]
Neither of these is new, but haven't I already established that we work at the slow-and-steady pace here? I love this Feist video for the song "12343 because it's simultaneously simple and complex. It's set on an empty soundstage with one continuous camera shot, but there's some complex staging to the whole thing. For example, note how the dancers become color coordinated at one point. It reminds me of Michel Gondry [...]
You either love it or hate it. It's a Marmite kinda song. But now there's a third option creeping in – getting tired of it. You see, Thou Shalt Always Kill by Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip is a bit like a great joke. It's brilliant the first time you hear it. And the next. And the next. But somewhere down the line, after many, many hearings it begins to wear a bit thin. I think so anyway – I haven't got there yet (I still like it), but I think it's possible. [...]
