![[Listen] Stay+: “DandelionR 21; (feat. Psychologist)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3911667_lg.jpg)
I've been feeling this jam all day thanks to the recommendation of a Fader friend . I haven't gotten into Stay+ a ton but it's amazing how quickly that can change in a 8-hour span of ear obsession. "Dandelion" is a sweet concoction of grooving glitchiness and sounds that best echo in the space between your ears. Featuring the smooth vocals of Psychologist , watch out for the last two minutes of this track.. pure banger.

Convergent evolution is when two completely separate lineages evolve similar features. In nature we see this with the Sugar Glider and the Flying Squirrel (there's your daily bit of knowledge). Outside of nature we can see this between Dub & Dubstep. The former came out of 19602s Reggae with a focus on remixing original tracks through bringing [...]

Dandelion Here at SoundsXP we've always sought to uncover new music, so we are chuffed to be named as one of the sponsors of this year's Festive Fifty . The annual chart, first devised by the daddy of innovative sounds, John Peel, is compiled these days by the lovely sonic super sleuths at Dandelion Radio . From Tuesday 1 November, the voting link will appear on their website , [...]
Download great new covers of Lana Del Rey, John Lennon, Madonna, the Smashing Pumpkins, and A-Ha!
Tweetvaso link If you'll remember correctly, shortly after the year turned this past January, I posted what is still likely the catchiest song anyone has heard since. It was the track "Buffalo," from Louisville based The Deloreans. Well the band has sent over another installation, this time a laid back love song, complete with a...
The Deloreans return to BEB this week with a new track and video. "Dandelion" is a dreamy, acoustic ballad with a delicate-but-deadly hook that strangely recalls one of the loudest tracks off of the group's tremendous sophomore album , American Craze (Hint: sing "Leviathan" instead of "Dandelion" on the chorus) . The accompanying 8mm video captures the track's warmth and woozy romanticism. Check it out below, then head over to yonder bandcamp to pick up the song (and an additional live version) for just $1. Or, if you're a vinyl [...]

Bill Bailey: Dandelion Mind Hey folks, hugely popular UK musical comedian Bill Bailey is back in NY after a 10 year absence to perform a four night run of his new one-man show Dandelion Mind . For the non-anglophiles in the room, here's a little more information about the show: Featuring Bill's trademark musical interludes, observations and stories of the road, Dandelion Mind will be based loosely on the theme of doubt (or will it?), as we follow [...]

It is no secret that The Deloreans are one of our favorite bands. Period. Not just local or from Kentucky. Favorite bands. As such, it makes us very happy to be able to share with you the release of their new song "Dandelion." For sensory overload, we've got the digital info for you, the music video (an 8-millimeter music-video dir ected by Philadelphia filmmaker Chad Blevins), and a link for you to go buy it on a limited green-vinyl 73. Let's get right to it. Here is the video: [...]

A little something beautiful from Louisville band The Deloreans. The epic "Dandelion", complete with picked uke, cinematic string pads, and a great 3/4 step, is gorgeous and will have you in love immediately. Jawdropper. The Deloreans - Dandelion The Deloreans ( Facebook ) Rating: 8.0
The Deloreans - Dandelion It's not that often that you get such rich string arrangements in indie pop these days. But this group of Kentuckians wrote a song that sounds as though it would be equally at home with a 1940's crooner set as it would with an early 1960's folkie jam. Beautiful stuff. And this companion original 8mm film by Philadelphia filmmaker Chad Blevins is spot-on. Grab the single on Bndcmp or the 7" from Louisville is for Lovers .

One of the great musical surprises of 2011 was the emergence authentic 1960's crooners, The Deloreans . We gushed over their second release "American Craze" and that album currently sits in our top twenty albums of 2011. The band is not set to rest anytime with touring and now a brand new single, the gorgeously arranged "Dandelion" with a matching music video. The single is only available on wax. Go HERE to grab the [...]

Check out the first video from The Dandelion War, a 5-piece indie/ambient ensemble from Oakland, CA. The video for "Sui Generis," off the debut album Geometries and Orchids , explores the trials and tribulations of immigrants coming to the United States.

Here's a good example of a band that contain a broad-ranging collection of parts, having met at a junction - literally in half the band's member's case, underneath Waterloo bridge - but who's composite parts' progression will be rated by how fluent they can become when trying to tie together the various talents. They informed us that they are " fiercely ambitious ", so at the very least they're motivation could drive them in the right direction. On the evidence so far, which includes a few initial gigs and demos, as well as the planned debut single, they may yet [...]
BLACK MOTH SUPER RAINBOW REACTIVATE, ANNOUNCE TOUR, RELEASE EXPANDED DANDELION GUM "We're back." Those two words appeared on the recently revived Black Moth Super Rainbow website , signaling the return of one of today's most bizarre and distinguishable musical collectives. Having recently played Austin Psych Fest, the group has reactivated after two years off with a brand new line-up consisting of Tobacco (fresh off vigorous touring behind the release of his solo endeavor, Maniac Meat), Seven Fields of Aphelion, Ryan Graveface (aka Dreamend), and Iffernaut. With most of BMSR's catalog destroyed in a [...]

photos by Tim Griffin Black Moth Super Rainbow @ Psych Fest "We came back." While Black Moth Super Rainbow won't win any points for enthusiasm in the above website update , most likely they'll save some of that for their ridiculous costumes and dancing at a forthcoming set of live dates. Announcement of the fall shows, which kick off in early September in the Midwest and the East Coast, coincides with the release [...]
The Godparents of chillwave and hypnagogic bask in the sun, examine childhood's end, and write the most gloriously imperfect songs you've ever heard. Brevity was never the problem with Dandelion Gum. So, the fact that Graveface Records are reissuing a version of Black Moth Super Rainbow's signature 2007 disc expanded with pickings from the Drippers and The House of Apples and Eyeballs EPs (the latter a collaboration with the Octopus Project), as well as a couple of leftovers, should not be heralded as anything but a continuation of the band's habit of overindulging. In a review of Ariel...

The album starts with a groovy laid-back tune called 'whatever', then tunes in to the suggestive reflection 'stuck', and from there Simmons takes us into' Pacharama', her memories of a trip to the jungle, to times long gone by. Time for the best song of the album, the title-track: 'The dandelion' with it's intricate harmonies and weeping guitar. The magic starts and leads us into to a piece called 'almost', where we truly can enjoy the delicate voice of Kaz. After this melody comes 'the wall', a murky jazz reflection with the message of 'just do [...]
