Hope you all had a good Christmas and have something massive planned for new year. I couldn't let it slip by without posting up some of these crackers which make up, yup, Clap Your Hands To The Electricity 6. As per usual, we've got some of the established (Digitalism and Thomas Bangalter) and some of the new (Hot Pink Delorean and Danger) and they are all beautiful. And by beautiful I mean shifting to some dirty synths and beats with a little bit of pop mixed in for sweetness. I've got a Best Of 2007 compilation to get [...]

Hello Good-Day. Mr Abede Umbongo is my name a citizen of IVORY COAST Africas I belive you are the rightful person to assist me and my brother without any problem or betrayal of trust among each other and I want you to know that it is the spirit of synthesized musics that directed us to you. [...]

Danger is French, relatively unknown but quite talented. His tracks are very well produced and tie well with the cartoon art that his internet fans only know him by. I believe he draws himself in these pictures. When I first heard his tracks on Myspace the sound reminded me of Kavinsky. But to be fair, it actually reminded me of some electro infused 80s synth stuff which Kavinsky is not the only musician to be inspired by. Overall his sound creates a cool ambiance that could probably sound better if it were not french-touch inspired...but oh well. Danger is very [...]

Remix Fix: NEON COYOTE Edition Neon Coyote have been killing it lately. So much so that I'm dedicating my not-so-regular Remix Fix section entirely to the production duo. So you know they've got it going on. John and Will kindly sent me over a gaggle (yes, gaggle) of NC goodies to post up and unleash onto the faithful Hyperbole readers. If I had to pick a favourite of them all, it'd probably end up being the Choreo remix (who is killing [...]
Ekler'o'shock Myspace Ekler'o'shock Site Ekler'o'shock is home of a handful of great new French electronic talent that are definitely doing fresh things than their other French peers showing that France's electronic music scene is going to have some longevity. France is the center of dance at the moment and this label highlights the more experimental/offbeat side off French disco. Death of French Culture?? I guess all the French intellectuals are too busy dancing. [...]

A follow up on our recent post of Danger's timely track 14h54 . Danger's homage to 24-hour-time (in my mind, a true unsung hero of the metric system) continues with 11h30 . It's been given a bleepy twist from blog-darling datA, and it's right here. Danger – 11h30 (datA remix) If you caught datA on his recent Australian tour you'll already be aware that he's awesome. If you didn't, well, he is. This track is going through the roof on Beatport, which [...]

image by timic Thanks to a friend in the scene, I've discovered a new name this week. He's making tunes under the name Danger ! He's a new French upcoming talent. And it's Ekleroshock records who has the honor to launch Danger's debut album. It's called 19/14 2007 and it's one you really need to have! Check out his sound and give him some love! By the way I love his graphic style on MySpace... Danger - 11h30 (DatA Remix) [...]

Danger First EP! "Danger is a young french artist but whose experience in pro ducing music is not so young. 7 years the 23 year-old boy has been manipulating machines, programming beats, playing various styles of music, whether it be chiptunes, punk or techno. What immediatly caught me is Danger's ability to make you feel strong emotions. This guy is simply able to make you feel scared to death, happy as if it was the victory of your life, sad as if you had lost wife [...]

party people!! what's going on right now? it's time for some more Foreign Exchange action.. . Versus devotees will remember that Foreign Exchange is where we (i.e the super cultured people here at versus) show off our knowledge surrounding foreign countries and their music.. remember the last post we did about sweden ?? yeah me too, pretty rad. Anyways, staying in Europe we decided to take a hard look at the French. The French are natives of a country called France. France is a beautiful country with great cuisine, a different language (called French too), an awesome [...]

I was initially tipped off about Danger by Jean Demery (you may remember our post about his brilliant filmmaking). Danger sounds like the love-child from a tantric affair between Daft Punk and Kavinksy...not a bad gene pool, much like Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. This 23 year old monsieur has been making music for seven years and just got hooked up with Ekleroshock Records to put out his first EP in oct/nov. Can't stop a kid with his computer, i tell ya. If Danger had his own [...]

Enough of this remix madness! Now back to the subject at hand, So there is this new album out that i'm digging a little bit here in LALA LAnd , it's from these way out there cats that call themselves " Empire of the Sun ", you may remember that track in the DanKnee mix that was put out on our site a while back. That one filled to the brim with Indie goodness. (if you don't know about it download it, see that little search bar up there [...]

Posted a song last week by Holy Fuck and it seemed to garner some serious interest; rightfully so in my opinion. This experimental/noise/electronic/ rock band has an interesting energy and an even more captivating approach. Here's an excerpt from their bio: H oly Fuck are creating a legacy based on near stupidity. It's a simple concept, to mimic modern electronic music without using modern fail-safes like laptops and programmed backing tracks... and of course make people freak out and smash stuff. So for last year's NXNE festival they armed themselves with a drum set, bass [...]

My fascination (read: obsession) with MF Doom and his projects has been illuminated in this blog before. See here for my another post with a number of awesome rap tracks and here for another DangerDoom-related post . I think that the stuff he does is so much more on point than 99% of the mainstream rap out these days. These collaborative albums are also pushing the boundaries left and right (see: Madvillain, Gnarls Barkley). I don't know exactly when they released this FREE ep of new DangerDoom tracks, [...]
