Danielson released a double-disc retrospective this year called Trying Hartz . The discs feature highlights from the band's first ten years along with lots of rarities and unreleased material. Daniel Smith's squeaky vocals have always been a little hit and miss for me, but he actually explains why he uses these different voices in the podcast, which was nice to learn. What I have always enjoyed though, is the gospel choir-indie pop aspect. Throughout the podcast, Daniel is interviewed by his two daughters Lily and Ida. The girls [...]
