Not long ago we featured the talents of Dutch producer Shook . He had just remixed Penguin Prison and his original track 'Something About You' really had me feeling his style. Currently we're still waiting on the release of his EP (rumour is that it' imminent) but to tide you over I've found a few more of his remixes bouncing around SoundCloud and I thought I'd share to further whet your appetite. If you can't recall his style is a grinding disco, not unlike other Dutchies Keljet, and Japanese maestro Shinichi Osawa. Definately worth checking out. [...]

It's been a while since I'd heard anything new from Shook so I decided to see what new goodness he's come up with. I first came upon him when Discodust did a post about a few of his tracks back in 08. One track called The Glow really caught my attention. It's got a dirty synth line that rides the entire song along with some very nice electro-thriller overtones. Shook - The Glow (320 kbps) One of his newest tracks, #2 , brought the good times [...]

We've all heard of synth funk duo Chromeo, 2 steppin and using their fancy footwork to wow the crowds all over, but are these guys Shake Aletti a combo to rival their US counterparts? Hailing from Sheffield in the UK these boys certainly have some skills just jump over to their myspace to take a listen. The featured track they gave us to share is a new remix of Darling of the Splitscreen (DOTS) fellow friends of the Shake boys. It's got this sort of cleaning in the kitchen vibe to it, [...]

From WTF Panda Club: "we'd love to offer you these two ass kickin remixes + our new sizzlin' hot pandamix #3 (mind that it is not your run-of-the-mill internet mix but a full fledged live mix containing some supertight mixes, heavy looping, mindboggling filter-sweeps and transforms with some sample candy topping. so it has some glitches and edges, but at least it ain't some lifeless zombie with all soul digitally edited out of it. anyway, trying our best not to sound like qvc here.. )" TrackList 01. The Kills - Cheap and Cheerfull (The Videoband Remix) 02. [...]

I want to start off this post by thanking all of the producers / remixers / DJs / labels that continue to send great music! We don't always have time to respond to all the e-mails, but we do listen to each and every song and mix that is sent in, so be patient. If we like it, it will get posted up. Also wanted to remind everyone that the Dancefloor Mayhem internet show is on Techno.FM every Sunday night : 6pm - 8pm Pacific Time / 9pm - 11pm Eastern Time. We [...]

bakmagazine Alright, I've got great tracks straight from the box I'm quite happy with. First off, the Left/Right remix of The Ting Tings . We've seen this track by The Ting Tings over and over, remixed many times but I have to say this has a different feel to it. It's quite refreshing actually, quite innocently the dirty track masked with Katie White's voice. Second we have Prepmode 's extended dance mix of Darlings of the Splitscreen . Haven't heard of either, though [...]

With the volume of new music coming through the Electrorash email and myspace at the moment my favourite way to find great new music has been to download it all and set my iTunes to shuffle. That way I can listen to something in the background and if it's great I take notice because of the music not because of the name. And so it was earlier today with Shook . First it was Beast (courtesy of Discodust, natch) but after searching the gmail for more I found these two great tracks and had to do my [...]

Prepmode is back with his new website: Prepmode.com . Even the content is not that much, his new remixes in the audio-part are a supersoft extension, that have the power to save your day. We admit, Prepmode remixed our mothers, our pets, our whole gang and we admit blushed that we sometimes wish to be a Prepmode, too. Give him some feature, some props, write him a love-or a blackmailing letter. It's up on you! It's hispanic flavour tonight! Mp3: Alexis & Fido - Sobrenatural (Prepmode Rmx) [...]

Berlin c'est bien, c'est Ghetto comme j'aime. Juste histoire d'un article, demain départ pour Montpellier. Mimu - Primula Veris ( zShare ) Clara moto - 3 minutes ( zShare ) Teki latex - Baton merdeux ( zShare ) Midnight Juggernauts - in to the Galaxy (grandmaster flash remix ) ( zShare ) Darlings of the plitscreen - Hiroshima (Culture prophet remix) ( zShare )

Does anyone miss Clor ? They seemed to last barely a year in the public eye, with three fantastic singles, Good Stuff (obviously), Outlines and Love + Pain to their name. Unfortunately (for me anyway), these were the first three songs on the album and the rest of it just didn't match up. Fortunately, Sheffield's Darlings of the Splitscreen have stepped up to replace the gap with added vocal harmonies and Super Furry Animals levels of inventiveness. DOTS are [...]
