Great new track from SF's downbeat cosmic producer Sorcerer. Loving the song title as well. "Deeply Creepy" showcases what Sorcerer does best check it out.Great remix by Brothertiger of Teendaze's track "Brooklyn Sunburn." Excellent work that makes you think of warm summer days (even though its still freezing here in Chicago). The final track is from the Danish duo DATO. David Kosteljanetz and Thomas Erichsen put together this great disco track. Hadn't heard any of their stuff until today and I am really impressed by this track. Very good. Check it out.

DATO - Bangkok [LISTEN] is a new feature for when time is not of the essence and we let the music do all the talking.

Check out a preview of the Hard to Find EP from one of my favorite electro-pop acts, Dato . These guys are really good and I highly recommend checking out some of the other tunes this Danish duo have. enjoY! DATO - Hard To Find EP • (Preview)

Hailing from Copenhagen, Dato is a name that kept surfacing on SoundCloud and elsewhere so I went a'digging. He released his Hard To Find EP in late April and has also had a bit to do with the German producer Satin Jackets (See below). His stuff is a nice blend of electronica, filled with little tinkles and funky back beats that come together to make him one catchy bastard. I had this one on repeat for hours. mp3. BBC favorite, Dato , hit us with a new track today that is quite delicious. The sound is a little different from what I know of this Dutch duo, but this funky, smooth track, "Got To Get Out" is like disco with a digital heart. Think Scissor Sisters X Holy Ghost! An excellent choice to start today. "Got To Get Out: will be out on Mullet Records this year. enjoY! DATO - Got To Get Out

Danish electro-pop duo Dato that we last wrote about in July of of last year here are back with two stellar tracks "My Life is Perfect Now" ft Jannie Linnebaek and "Hard to Find" . Loving them both! Smooth groovy electro-pop goodness. I have a feeling you guys will become as addicted to these as I have. Listen at your own peril ;) MP3: My Life is Perfect Now (ft Jannie Linnebaek) - [...]

It's been a while since we featured Denmark's Dato , in the inbetween time the duo have got funkier as the Disco influence on their ElectroPop sound has become more prominent. Their latest productions show a definite one-ness with the funk, whereas their earlier tracks were more ElectroPop based. 'Hard To Find' is reminiscant of early Dirty Vegas with haunting vocals over a strong House groove. 'My Life Is Perfect Now' sees them joined, once again, by Jannie Linnebæk for a slab bass and retro synth workout that is bordering on Dreamwave. Mixing [...]

The unexpected 'theme' this week has panned out to be disco so it seems the producers around the world are following a trend; maybe it's because January is the cash-strapped month for everyone so the yearn to go out and party is transferred to the studio (?). DATO are the latest producers to feature here and I had a massive smile on my face as I listened to both tracks for the first time on the commute home. It's definitely got it's roots firmly within the pop, especially with the second track which features Jannie Linnebæk [...]

Check out some new tunes from Denmark electro-pop duo, Dato . Love the stuff these guys have been putting out. enjoY! DATO - She's looking for something (featuring Danny Andersen) DATO - Dubmission

Danish electro-pop duo Dato who I previously posted their excellent dance track "Dance Imod" on an Art Basel Mixtape here are back with a fresh self titled debut album . They sent over two of the new tracks from the album "How Many Times?" and "I Don't Wanna" and I am loving them both! Excellent electro-pop jems that should be right up our readers alley. They're not the best quality versions ( 128 kbps ), but they will give you a good idea as [...]

Denmark's electro-pop duo, Dato , are back with a new track featuring the vocals of Jannie Linnebaek . These guys are sort of new to the game, but are sure to make some moves in the coming year. The new track, "How Many Times", has a great hook and vibe that sort of reminds me of old-skool Madonna. It's pure synth-pop at its greatest. Stay tuned for Dato's debut release, Disc 1 , coming this month. enjoy! How Many Times (featuring Jannie Linnebæk) by DATO
' ' Danish duo Dato dabble with both ElectroPop and Electro-House with interesting effects. A while back we first introduced you to their track with Danny Andersen, 'I Don't Wanna'' which we quite liked, it was a pretty energetic dancey ElectroPop track with some nice old school sounds. Now the guys are gearing up for the release of their first album next month and have dropped another track on us to wet out appetites. Featuring the vocals of Jannie Linnebæk, 'How Many Times?' is slightly more Housey but [...]
New Track from Danish Duo Dato . We had talked about Dato ( David Kosteljanetz and Thomas Erichsen) a while ago when they sent 2 smoothe electro tracks to us. This time they are back with a brand new original called "This Time." The track has this awesome baseline and some really cool vocoded vocals. This is pure 100% Electro-pop and definitely worth checking out. Stay tuned for Dato's debut release real soon. enjoY! This Time (320) by DATO

Here are some pics I managed to snag at this years Art Basel . Unfortunately I didn't get to see much as I was working way too much, but here are some of my favorites. Mostly from Scope and Aqua were I was spinning. Plus since my computer was on the fritz this week my inbox was flooded with some amazing stuff, so I'm gonna include a mixtape at the end of this post with 9 of my favorite dancefloor tracks. Perfect for your pre-clubbing experience or play [...]
We talked about Danish duo, Dato , a few weeks ago on Boom Boom Chik and now they have sent us a new track that has just as much fun and excitement as the first one they sent. The track is called "Danse Imod" and is pure, delicious electro-pop. The lyrics are in danish, but according to Dato, "the song is all about dancing or remembering how you used to dance, moving those feet, integrating body and music." enjoY! Dato - Danse Imod
