Last night in ATL the Deadmeat tour with Steve Aoki and Datsik came through the Tabernacle and tore the house down. The kids gathered around the pit to feel the bass. We caught up with Troy Beetles aka Datsik for a few minutes after the show. We'll be posting the interview real soon, but for now check out a little snippet of the show last night.
Dub Step bad boy Datsik has produced a lethal number with the help of Snak The Ripper 's rap stylings called 'Fully Blown'. This stand alone track came out on Steve Aoki imprint Dim Mak and is full of UK grime. Full of a plethora of funny noises this track will space you out and bro you down with its aggressive approach. Snak The Ripper's flow feels like it could go on forever. Ultimately I would like to be listening to this song 8 beers down. Download [...]

Vancouver's Snak the Ripper has a voice that tells a story before he even spits a rhyme. His voice is raw with emotion and it's fuelled by a passionate anger that is sure to make the girls squirm, in more ways than one. He's garnered an impressive virtual following over the past couple of years with Yelawolf, Tech N9ne, and Raekwon all calling themselves fans. And for my fellow street art enthusiasts, you may remember Snak from the Stompdown Killaz graffiti movement that was featured in Banksy's Oscar nominated documentary "Exit Through the Gift Shop". You [...]

Wobble Wednesday is here again! Welcome back! If you're not already familiar with Wobble Wednesday, that's okay - we want to make your first time amazing. Most of what you'll be listening to here is often referred to as dubstep, but can encompass all genres of heavy bass music. To quote bass music artist ill.Gates, "When you look at what some of the bigger dubstep guys are doing now, they'll play some dubstep, they'll play some drumstep, they'll plays some breaks, some drum and bass, and maybe some dance hall." That's what Wobble Wednesday is all about. [...]

Datsik is currently on tour with Steve Aoki. He found time to release this track through Dim Mak. You just found time to listen his newly released track. While I don't wholeheartedly embrace dubstep, I like the concept of infusing it with vocals. Someone had the courage to step away from Sam Adams and go with a lesser known name whose flow fits the gritty vibe. I wish Crazy Town were still popular... Shifty, if you're reading this please jump back into the game. Datsik feat. Snak The Ripper - Fully Blown [...]
Jordan Atkins-Loria, also known by his stage name Lucky Date, is a Chicago based Producer/DJ who is making some serious waves in the EDM industry. Originally hailing from California, Lucky Date has a great vibe emanating from his tracks. His style feels like a crossover between Porter Robinson and Skrillex with some sick electro synths [...]

Got a free ticket to this the other night thanks to Trucker . I've never been to a house/dubstep show before, and it was everything that I hoped and expected it to be. If I were to tell you that a cake, salad, champagne, life rafts, LED lights, cranberry juice, and a lot of kids high on E with super bright clothes on were all in the same place; it would sound like I was in Hunter S. Thompson's hotel room in Vegas circa 1978. (replace the E with ether and cocaine maybe) But yes, all that happened and [...]
STS9 is behind us for now, Big Gigantic is on the unimaginably close horizon, Deadmeat tour, Excision, and Snowball coming after that. For now, it's time to take a step back and drop the tempo to get into a groovy state of mind for the week to come. This week is all over the board [...]
"Inna few days" Diplo will be ringing in the new year with his fourth album being released for free. Entitled "Express Yourself", Diplo will bring a whole new meaning to Moombahton. Featuring the likes of Datsik, Excision, Elephant Man, LAzer Disk and many others, this album is going to be huge. Check out the sampler [...]
The lineup for one of the nation's biggest electronic music festival, Miami's annual Ultra Music Festival, was just announced late last week right before Christmas. This is an absolutely stacked affair and I don't recommend anyone skip on this if they like the untz. The fest returns to Miami's downtown Bayfront Park area and will [...]
Diplo and Datsik teamed up to bring you this genre-defying club banger back in August and here is the remix package. The original can't be classified in a single genre since it spans dubstep, fidget, and electro house. The progressive synths and Kay's soft vocals add a whole different element to the mix as well. If you appreciated the original, check out these remixes from Figure, Detroit Muscle, Swizzymack, and DalePlay. Each remix offers a unique take on the song, but we've gotta say Figure's is our favorite. Which one's yours? Purchase: [...]
On today's episode of the Rock it Out! Blog, my brother, DJ JoJoe, and I review the new Korn album, The Path Of Totality , from Roadrunner Records. The album is a mix of metal and dubstep music and incorporates electronic artists like Skrillex, Datsik, Downlink, Noisia and more. The album, to me, doesn't work. Primarily because Korn is a band that, only last year, released an album that they promoted as getting back to their roots. Now they've released an album that, while some tracks stand out, falls flat due to the fact that many [...]

Right. This is going to be one of the posts where it may appear to be more of a rant rather than a write-up because quite frankly, I am a little fed up of the whole media hypocrisy and the unknowledgable lot stating this, that and the other. The latest album from nu-metal giants @Korn. Yes, nu-metal giants. The band that took metal-rock music down a new route by adding further electronic effects plus extra dimensions production wise to their work and into their music. I would say it began with 'Follow [...]

DEADMEAT TOUR | 2012 - Steve Aoki & Datsik Ok lets drop the educated journalist act for a second and write something just a little bit PG, a little bit disorderly. Disorderly, that is exactly what comes to mind when the sheer meteoric impact of Steve Aoki and Datsik touring together hits your brain. Let's be honest, this tour is not about creating a perfectly mixed symphony of sound or even about their new visual affects, this tour is about raw, messy electro/dubstep noise, no tact about it when you approach one of these shows you better be [...]
