YES. This new track from NaS is filthy. NaS - Daughters No related posts.

Look out for Nas' Life Is Good , coming July 17th. FYI, we need MORE music like this in the game! Pull your pants up sons! Listen: Nas - "Daughters" (Produced by No I.D.)

Last night DJ Prostyle unveiled the third single from Nas ' forthcoming album album, Life Is Good , via his Power 105.1 show, and although most 'kid dedicated' rap songs are awful, there's a level of sincerity here that makes it pretty cool. Have a listen to it over at RapRadar.com . The album is set to be released on July 17th via Def Jam Records.

My best friend has a daughter so I had person connection to this one. Look out for Nas' Life Is Good , coming July 17th. FYI, we need MORE music like this in the game! Pull your pants up sons! Listen: Nas - "Daughters" (Produced by No I.D.)

Nasty Nas just keeps keeping on these days, doesn't he? Following on from the reggaefied banger 'The Don' (the video of which is due tomorrow), Nasir switches down the pace a little with a No I.D. produced gem, 'Daughters', and ode to... you guessed it, daughters. Nas is in a reflective mood on this one, waxing lyrical on the trials and tribulations of raising a young girl these days over a suitably serene beat. It is a family story, after all. 'Daughters' is due to appear on [...]

. A heartfelt Nas x No I.D. song about daughters.. just like these girls:
Communion. The label with the golden touch. In our humble opinion at least. We've had the fortune of attending several of their nights in Brighton of late. To shamelessly recycle a quote from our review; "Communion nights are always such fun. Gig nights are a dime a dozen, but consistently good ones are far rarer." Needless to say Communion nights are part of those rare ones. Said review also got a shout out on the Communion website, which may have made us like them just that little bit more... It's often stated that Communion are at the forefront [...]

Sundance London (02 Arena, 26-29 April '12) // Words: Saam Das The widely acclaimed Sundance Festival makes its first appearance outside of its Utah home when it comes to London's O2 Arena this week. Bringing us a selection of features and shorts from American independent cinema as well as special musical performances and events, we're very excited to welcome Robert Redford and company to London. I've chosen a handful of films and musical events to recommend below. [...]

Communion Records is still a young label, but it's undoubtedly the most exciting one the UK has to offer at present. The label's latest compilation 'New Faces' continues in their admirable ethos of championing fresh talent, and showcases songs from some of the artists they've launched in the past year including Michael Kiwanuka, Goyte and Ben Howard. The 20-track mixtape is full of highlights. Hotly-tipped upcomer Daughter is well-placed amongst the likes of James Vincent McMorrow and Lucy Rose, while Julia Stone (of Angus and Julia Stone fame), Matt Corby and Boy & Bear [...]

4AD announced: "The London-based trio of Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella, collectively known as Daughter, has signed to 4AD worldwide, outside of North America . On the strength of just two EPs, His Young Heart and The Wild Youth, Daughter have built for themselves a dedicated following, illustrated by their sold-out show at the 700-capacity Assembly Hall in North London. No mean feat for a band whose current incarnation has been performing together for a mere eighteen months."
Two years on and now part of a London-based trio, which includes Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella, Daughter has been signed by 4AD.

Daughter live at Islington Assembly Hall (12 April '12) // Words: Raman K We traipse around the nooks of London, week-to-week, searching out future sounds that'll shape your next playlist. There is a real thrill in uncovering a new musician and showcasing them to you: the readers and eventual fanbase. Please believe then, that these next words do not come lightly: alt-folk-pop band, Daughter , boasts one of the most stunning live vocal experiences so far this decade and represents perhaps the [...]

Phew! Easter, eh? Chocolate eggs, chocolate bunnies, all manner of rich fare on which to gorge yourself, (and then feel vaguely self-conscious about the extent to which you've over-indulged). A season of intemperance… I was going to attempt some ill-advised metaphor along the lines of immoderate consumption of sugary substances being similar to overdosing on the rich Psych Fest sounds ofAustin,Texas, etc, etc. …but frankly I can't be arsed… Let's just agree that we all need a sharp little palate cleaner every now and again. Daughter (Probably not my finest [...]

Words by Jim First it was winter, then it was summer, and now it's spring. Doesn't make any sense, but that's ok. I'm not too worried about it, are you? The weather always sorts itself out. But what this strange fluctuating weather has reminded me of is that I really do enjoy that slow crawl into spring that we experience here in Pennsylvania. The nights are still cold. The breeze can still cut you to the bone if you're not careful. April showers bring May flowers, right? The gloom of that grey period between [...]

B3SCI took to the streets of Austin in March for the 25th annual South by Southwest. We braved/raged through the musical flurry of performances, ridiculous entourages, grid-locked streets, fantastic rumors and more while covering some of the world's top breaking talent. Below are some choice highlights from our experience (during festival highlights here ), including our most recent Virgin Mobile Live broadcast featuring tunes from festival acts as well interviews with Fast Years, Tashaki Miyaki, PAPA and Saint Motel tracked on the streets of SX.
