Tweet Say Anything take a personal shot at "scene kids" and get me all sorts of stoked to hear them return to angsty all out emotional lyrics in " Admit It Again ." Max Bemis comes right out of the gate saying " Admit it you lecherous douche, you were listening to my band in 2004 though you claim you were reared on The Stooges . Your entire facade is a line that you feed," which is the exact sentiment [...]

Photo by Meghan Brosnan After hitting the road with his very own traveling festival this summer and having to reschedule the climactic Governor's Island date due to some tropical chick named Irene, it's only fitting that Dave Matthews would want to mellow out for a bit. Thankfully, there's no better way to take it easy than with a pair of solo acoustic shows alongside fellow guitar-maestro Tim Reynolds . On November 18th and 19th, the two will play a pair of East coast gigs, beginning [...]

Last year, the Dave Matthews Band announced it would take 2011 off from touring. Then, the group changed course and said they would throw their own multi-band festivals that they'd headline. All in all, there were five DMB Caravan events this summer - one in Atlantic City, one in Chicago, one at The Gorge, an ill-fated one-day affair at Governor's Island and this month's full three-day shebang on Randall's Island. The Caravan events went so well that the band's management is in talks to bring back at least the Atlantic City stop according to a [...]

Who the hell do these guys think they are? First they hit me with the damnedest Deep Purple sound with "Lonely Puppy Blues." Then, they make me wrap my mind around "Sunny Day Man" somewhere between Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin . My ears were not ready for the next onslaught, "Hide Nothing," the album namesake, a hard-edged electric blues power trio guitar hooked blast that approaches "When The Levee Breaks" deliciousness. Who the hell gives [...]
