We are still having a hard time believing that LeRoi Moore saxophone player from the Dave Matthews Band passed away yesterday afternoon. Moore had been suffering from head wounds he received in a ATV accident on his farm in backwoods Virgina last June. He suddenly took a turn for the worse and died in Los Angeles Tuesday. The saxophonist LeRoi Moore , a founding member of the Dave Matthews Band, has died. Born Gary Lee Moore in North Carolina, LeRoi was a classically-trained musician who had command of a wide range of instruments: bass, baritone, tenor, alto, and soprano saxophones; and the flute, bass clarinet and wooden penny whistle. On October 14, Ingrid Michaelson will look to follow up on the success of 2007's Girls and Boys and all its "The Way I Am" glory with the release of Be Ok . While not a brand new effort, the album, anchored by two versions of her song "Be Ok", will feature an 11-track mix of unreleased songs, covers, and live recordings. As has been the case for the last 22 years, Farm Aid will return this summer for another edition of the longest-running benefit concert in support family farming and organic agricultural initiatives. I'm a huge fan of the TV show House, MD . It's got good stories, even better characters and a fantastic taste in music for it. In 1985, Pegi Young (Neil's lady) helped to start a school in the San Francisco Bay Area for local children with severe physical and speech impairments (their son Ben is affected by cerebral palsy). The Bridge School helps to remove expressive barriers for these children through augmentative and alternative means of communication with the world around them.
