Uno era The Person and the Skeleton , l'altro è questa è So Warped .

David Pajo has decided to leave Interpol and has been replaced by bassist Brad Truax. Here is the full announcement from the band and from Pajo himself: Fans - New personnel change: Dave Pajo is tagging out, folks. Dave has decided to step out of the spotlight for a spell, and will no longer be [...]
Scott Tennent is the talented blogger behind Pretty Goes With Pretty as well as the author of Spiderland , one of the newest entries in the esteemed 33 1/3 series published by Continuum Books . I met Scott last month at a release party for the book here in Los Angeles, and I made him promise that he would let me interview him about his experience writing Spiderland , his first visit to Louisville, and - of course - all things Slint. On Tuesday night he and I chatted (online!) for [...]

Change is afoot! Though the NYC outfit hasn't dressed as sharply/uniformly as they did when they first started reviving post-punk ten years ago, all sorts of shifts were on display as they dropped by The Late Show last night to play new brooder "Barricade" for Mr. David Letterman: David Pajo is now playing bass, Secret Machines' Brandon Curtis is now playing keys, and frontman Paul Banks looks as though he just came back from a vacation in Cartagena. That's a long ways from Manchester. Daniel Kessler looks smart, though, and even if this new stuff hasn't knocked us [...]
2007's Our Love To Admire , the third record by New York's gloom and doom merchants, Interpol was a lukewarm affair. To these ears, it was the sound of a band that felt enormous pressure to justify their graduation to the major label ranks after scoring a deal with Capitol Records. It wasn't a bad record by any stretch, mind you. It was simply a case of a band failing to fulfill the expectations of a rabid fanbase and quite possibly (and I'm just spitballing here) themselves. For me, the better songs lacked the oomph and the weaker songs [...]
According to the Interpol website (thanks for the heads up NME ), you will see some new and familiar faces. With the departure of Carlos D, the band have added Brandon Curtis from the Secret Machines and Dave Pajo from Tortoise/Zwan fame. I guess some people are replaceable and/or expendable. As a result of the U2 concert cancellations, there have been some new dates added. Interpol-Lights [mp3] From Interpol Hey gang, We'd like to take a moment [...]
After recently announcing the cancellation of most of their North American tour dates, as well as the departure of bassist Carlos D , things were looking grim for Interpol . The New York band is putting all bad things aside and moving forward with a just announced title for their forthcoming album. The band's fourth studio album will be titled ' Interpol ' and, according to a blog post on their website , it will be released sometime in mid-September. The band have also announced a replacement [...]

It's been a bit weird for the gloomy New York rockers of Interpol recently. First their long time bassist Carlos D decided to leave the band and then they had to cancel pretty much all of their North American tour because they were opening for U2 who canceled all of their North American tour dates. But the band has managed to keep their chins up as they just released some information regarding their new album and who will man the low end of their sound. First off, their fourth LP will [...]

As I've noted several times before, I'm not big on year-end omnibus posts, and the concept of countdowns, with their hierarchies and exclusionary undertones, challenges my generous sensibilities. There's so much greatness out there, the perfect song and songsmith for every one of a thousand nuanced moods and whims; to choose one over the other would be as wrong as asking me to rank my students by favorite, thus neglecting the dormant potential, the unique potency, and the epiphanic moments inherent in each. But it's been a rich year here at Cover Lay [...]
Where Eagles Dare is taken the album "Scream With Me" by David Pajo (probably the most important guitarist since the late 80s)the album is a collection of songs from The Misfits . The album was released in January ,but Im going now getting to to listen to it , its a gem of an album with of lo-fi acoustic jams and Pajo emotional voice
Got this video from Pitchfork.tv obviously, from an album by David Pajo released in April of this year called Scream With Me. The album, available only on vinyl , is boiled down acoustic interpretations of Misfits songs. I'll cop to this being the first time I've heard of David Pajo who our source for today, The Decibel Tolls (thanks!), calls " the most important guitarist since the late 80s ." Listen to the two widely divergent versions and Pajo's precise pluckwork on The Insomnia Song [...]
