Producer Amerigo Gazaway takes De La Soul joints and Fela Kuti samples to create "afrobeat rhythms, funky horn riffs, and classic hip-hop gems." Mashup albums are like this: terrible, forgetful, 'why? why?' or amazing, interesting, inventive. In this case, it's refreshing.
