Jack White and The Peacocks - Roseland Ballroom - May 22nd, 2012 I've always been a casual Jack White fan: I admired him from afar, appreciated his musical brilliance, and was casually into his bands, but I never really delved into his catalogue; with six full-length White Stripes albums, two fronting The Raconteurs , two in The Dead Weather , and his debut solo album "Blunderbuss" , the man's discography is vast, [...]

Jack White is a man that needs no introduction. He's one of the most iconic rock stars that have emerged in the past decade and has achieved some significant things in our time. It's safe to say Jack White sounds like nobody and nobody sounds like Jack White. That's quite the distinction. Blunderbuss is the first solo effort from Jack White and it's a fantastic record. It was released in late April and if you haven't already got it (or want a duplicate copy) then we have a pleasant contest for you! [...]
When The White Stripes split was announced in February 2011, it wasn't a surprise for anyone. And the main reason for that is Jack White 's continuous involvement in side projects that became more than one-time things: The Raconteurs with Brendan Benson and Dead Weather with Alison Mosshart from The Kills . Though success was still there for Detroit blues-rock star, his performances with both bands had shown he couldn't lose his habit of stealing the spotlight, being the center of attention even as a singing drummer in Dead Weather. He is [...]

Jack White played two songs from solo album Blunderbuss on Jools Holland last night.

Jack White 's debut solo album is set to be released on April 24th, 2012, however, despite White's attempts to stop it being leaked (including sending promotional copies in the form of vinyl records only), it was leaked on April 15th. The album portrays the jigsaw pieces of White's career coming together to create thirteen exemplary tracks. A wide variety of genres are covered in the album from blues to garage rock, including White's signature catchy riffs, and distorted vocals. Styles from all of his projects including The White Stripes , [...]

Jack White will be releasing his new project 'Blunderbuss' on April 24th and in honor of White's first solo effort, we've collected an archive of different ventures the musician has been on over the past decade. So if you're a fan of The White Stripes , The Ranconteurs or The Dead Weather everything is here! we even scrapped up some b-sides and a rare Upholsterers track which are all included in this mix, a mix we've aptly titled 'The Many Faces Of Jack White.' In the meantime look at this as [...]
Jack White keeps his title of being rock 'n roll's biggest badass as he kicks off his exclusive solo tour at Track 29 in Chattanooga, TN.

Jack White just can't give himself a break. After spending years switching bands seamlessly from The White Stripes to The Raconteurs to The Dead Weather to keep busy, he found himself in a position to take some time off. The Stripes officially went dormant, the recent flurry of Raconteurs activity proved to be short-lived, and his other bandmates in The Dead Weather went on to other projects. It was a perfect storm that he could have used to finally slow down from his prolific pace of the past decade or so. Of course, Jack being Jack, he decided to [...]

Our first taste of Jack White's upcoming solo debut Blunderbuss came in the way of the country-soul number Love Interruption, which featured the singer-songwriter-guitarist-pr oducer-record label owner backed by an all-female band. When it came to predicting if this was what the rest of record was going to sound like, your guess was as good as ours. Well last night we finally got our chance to see, as White made his eagerly anticipated live solo debut on Saturday Night Live . As expected White's first tune of his two song appearance, [...]

Last week we all got to have a listen to a track from Jack White's upcoming solo debut, Blunderbuss, which is due to hit shelves on April 24. For this week's Mix Tape we're going to take a chronological stroll through the works of White as he plays guitar, piano, drums and even a little bass. Leading off is Let's Shake Hands , a single released prior to The White Stripes self-titled debut in 1998. Then, we head over to Jimmy The Exploder - the first track [...]

Art by Jeremy D. Larson and Drew Litowitz. You'd Be A Lot Cooler If You Did. Alec kind of looks like Shawn Andrews from Dazed and Confused . He was only a few months old when the movie came out in 1993, but he's a sophomore in college now, so I'm sure he has to have seen it by now, right? I don't know because I didn't say this in front of him for fear of him not knowing the movie, which would make me seem like I'm throwing an obscure reference his way [...]

Last spring Mumford & Sons, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros embarked on the Railroad Revival Tour , which saw the three bands traverse the country together via vintage train cars. The throwback tour, which got its inspiration from the famed 1970 Festival Express tour that transported the likes of the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and The Band across Canada, began in Oakland and ended in New Orleans, stopped in six cities along the cross-country route where the bands performed at unique outdoor venues. The entire [...]
An eager Jack White fan has posted the b-side on the "Love Interruption" single release, which is out today on Third Man Records . Definitely prefer the more upbeat vibe to this song over the A-side, but both are solid nonetheless. As April 23rd crawls its way here for his upcoming debut solo album Blunderbuss we can only expect and hope that ol' Jackie to have some surprises tucked up his sleeves for us along the way. Make sure you head over to the Third Man Records store to grab [...]

Now that Jack White has finally ran out of other people to work with, the vinyl traditionalist is free to strip it all back and put out a project under his own name. But that doesn't mean he's reinventing himself. Lyrically, his debut solo single, "Love Interruption," exudes the same awkwardly macabre bitterness that White often turned to in both the White Stripes and the Dead Weather. "I want love to stick a knife inside me and twist it all around/ I want love to murder my own mother and take her off to somewhere like hell or up above," [...]
On the heels of Jack White's new album announcement as well as the unveiling of Blunderbuss 's first single " Love Interruption ," we thought it was time to revisit the hits - not the literal ones , unfortunately - of White's wide-reaching, strange and prolific career so far. So, here's 13 of Jack White's most memorable collaborations. Sorry Bobby D . For once, you didn't make the cut. 13. Insane Clown Posse and JEFF The Brotherhood w/ Jack White Definitely one of the higher-ranking moments in Jack White's "WTF?" register, White [...]

Feature: Jack White Goes Solo, Releases First Single "Love Interruption" Since Rolling Stone posted a gallery featuring the many gigs of Jack White , I have been pouring over the musician's obsession with the Blues and all other forms of music. White's long and illustrious career has been created through many different musical mediums, but never exclusively as a solo artist. Free of the American Pickers and the characters that "makeup" the Insane Clown Posse, Jack White released the single "Love Interruption" yesterday on his website [...]
