It's been quite awhile since I've shared a Pit Romney update, and thus far 2012 has seen some pretty excellent fests happen, including this past weekend's Breast Fest in North Carolina. The annual Black N Blue Bowl happens here in NYC this coming Saturday, so I figured now was as good as any time to [...]

"It's kind of refreshing to hear a Denver hip-hop act not trying to emulate the latest trends. On Living on the Jib, Death Before Dishonor mates hostile, head-banging breakbeats with strings and piano interludes that recall everyone from DJ Shadow to EL-P (of Company Flow). Tracks like "Somebody Stop Me" and "We Were All in [...]

Ewwwww. You KNOW it was only a matter of time. Jeezy tears this. The rippin' and the tearin'. He makes Rozay's version sound like a 'how-to guide' to plant flowers. This is ripped from Jeezy's next tape '1000 Grams.' mp3: Young Jeezy - Death Before Dishonor [BMF Freestyle]
Originally, I had planned on livetweeting this year's New England Metal and Hardcore Festival for the purposes of turning my pithy comments into some sort of proper show report. Looking back on some of those 140-characters-or-less entries, I realized that there was really no need to do so. Instead, below you'll find a [...]

Boston and its surrounding areas are known for its prominent roster of hardcore bands past and present- Slapshot, Reach The Sky, Bane, Blood for Blood, and Have Heart, just to name a few. Another band you can add to that list is Death Before Dishonor. They've been around since 2000 and haven't looked back. They've only looked forward, because the eyes are in the front of their heads. Recently the guys released their latest album "Better Ways To Die" from Bridge Nine Records. Check out, vocalist Bryan and Guitarist Frankie talk to B-Sides about their [...]

"10 for $10 Hardcore Summer Tour" is a great name for a tour, as well as a terrific deal. The lineup features Poison the Well as well as Madball, Bane, Vision Of Disorder, Terror, Death Before Dishonor, War Of Ages, Crime In Stereo, Trapped Under Ice, The Mongoloids, The Ghost Inside, This Is Hell, and Vision. Really, I counted and that sounds like 12, which technically just sweetens the deal. Full US tour dates for Poison the Well below, and don't forget their new album, The Tropic Rot , is out July 7 on Ferret Music. [...]
I hit the motherload on my constant quest to track down demos from my youth. Most of this is hardcore but I wanted to include the Shirley Temple Pussies for a laugh. Song: Spanish Flies and Fast As I Can Artist: Mighty Joe Young Album: Demo Comments: Back in 1987 or 1988 I remember seeing the band Mighty Joe Young on a flyer for the Anthrax (Norwalk, CT). I have no idea why this stuck with me it just did. They eventually changed their name to the Shirley Temple Pussies and then finally settled on [...]
I somehow managed to never hear Palehorse prior to "Amongst the Flock", their first full-length and debut as a part of the coveted Bridge Nine roster. How? I have no fucking clue, because this is some ripping metallic hardcore with absolutely scathing vocals that lend a very Ringworm-esque ...
