Emerging from the Copenhagen underground scene, Death By Kite is one of the best noise-pop bands to come out of Scandinavia for years. Their sound is a tight-rope walk between post-punk and angst-driven indie, a mesmerizing mix of poppish, catchy melodies soaked in a cocktail of noise rock, shoegaze and new wave. Death By Kite - Treehouse Som denna låt börjar, i något som påminner om introt till någon hemsk noiserock-låt är det svårt att tro att det ska sluta bra. Men, det gör det ju givetvis. Den danska trion Death By Kite, från Köpenhamn, levererar något som är tillräckligt melodiöst någonstans i den skräniga och lo-fi-liknande ljudbilden, vilket gör att det går att det går att fatta tycke för det, ordentligt. The debut solo album "Single engine" from Norwegian saxophonist Håkon Kornstad is exactly that - a solo album. There's a few tracks that feature minimal accompaniment, but for the most part, it's all Kornstad and nothing else.
