Dedalus hailed from Italy, near Turin (Torino), recording two records for the much-desired Trident label in the early 1970s. Think of Trident as the Italian equivalent of Ohr or Kosmiche Kuriere. After those two albums, the band all but disappeared. The first Dedalus album (self-titled) is a renowned progressive album that toed the line between rock and avant-garde. It sounded like a cross between Soft Machine and Stockhausen.
