Sundays will be the death of me. There was so much on today and I missed out on it all From St Kilda Fest, to Good Vibrations and Butch @ Revolver, I'm doing none of it. Anyway, for those of you sitting at home too hungover to move your ghetto booty, here is a cool [...]
I just found out that Stan Lee is coming to the Pittsburgh Comic-Con. I bought an extremely overpriced ticket to get his autograph. Which means I'm gonna meet Stan Lee. I'm gonna meet Stan Lee! Okay, variations of that statement are going to be a large part of what you read here for the next two weeks or so, deal with it. UK producer, Santero , just took on Deejay Punk Roc's classic track "My Beatbox" and killed it. I'm usually very anti-remakes of classic dance tracks but this one is an exception to my rule. It has some sub woofer busting bass nicely placed against the booming UK funky sounding percussion and would fit nicely into a variety of sets. He also sent over this original "6am Horn", which is also a nice little drum work out. Watch this dude. Deejay Punk Roc - My Beatbox (Santero Remix) Santero - 6am Horn [...]

Ain't that Thin White Duke Remix for Depeche Mode bad? I know. Here it goes again. You know the deal: "Back in the days whatever name of a sucessful musician has been so much better". I have to admit everybody failed to deliver a good Depeche Mode Remix since Adrian Sherwood or maybe the Beatmasters, but Thin White Duke who is also known as Les Rhythmes Digitales and Jacques Lu Cont failed miserably when producing the latest Seal album too. And Madonna? I've always been an Erasure fan, but the rest of that album he crafted [...]

Some catchy big beat stylings from 1998 and Deejay Punk-Roc. Deejay Punk-Roc was much beloved by the hipsters at NME for about 5 minutes. Supposedly, DeeJay Punk-Roc was born in Brooklyn, NY, USA in 1971. The school dropout enlisted in the United States Military and was stationed in Japan, Germany, and England. Back home, he recorded "My Beatbox" for the UK label Airdog Recordings. But there were all sorts of rumours that the track was a pseudonym for Norman Cook or another dance luminary who didn't want to reveal that he [...]
So, since I am such a kind and generous person as well as a dashing stallion, I thought, in honor of my new mix featured on Discobelle's exalted "Mixin' It Up" series, I would make as many of the tracks from the mix available for download as I could. I won't go through the trouble of describing each track to you as I've already done that over on Discobelle, so download the tracks here and then go listen to what I done did with 'em over there and enjoy.
