
Melvin Seals and JGB will recreate two classic Jerry Garcia Band performances from 1990 at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on March 8th and 9th. The shows originally took place at The Warfield on June 8th and 9th. Seals was a member of the Jerry Garcia Band at the time of those classic gigs. The 17th annual Gathering of the Vibes Music Festival runs July 19-22nd at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Two of the best guitar players to come from Connecticut traded licks at Gathering of the Vibes last month, when Kung Fu/Breakfast axe-slinger Tim Palmieri sat in with six-stringer Fuzz and Deep Banana Blackout for an insane version of Tug. Both Furthur and the Rhythm Devils return in 2011 with Bobby and Phil's latest band set to headline on Friday, July 22, and Mickey and Billy's group set to appear on Sunday, July 24.
