Like all his projects, the record is a fusion of more mainstream beats and music from Eastern cultures. Mother nature did not cooperate on the last day of the Ottawa Folk Festival . So there was alot of rescheduling of the music workshops that was suppose to happened on the Sunday afternoon. Mostly spent being inside the Bowie Theatre all day. But overall with the chaos that happened, things went pretty smoothly. Day Three: Having dinner at my favorite Indian restaurant in Tacoma a few months ago, a friend and I were bopping at the table to what sounded like Celtic beats with Punjabi lyrics. Hey there Rootsians: I'm off to Bumbershoot today, will return with sonic stories and aural adventures. I mentioned that one of my target shows is Vieux Farka Toure. One other group I'm eager to see is Ontario-based Delhi 2 Dublin, a fabulous Indo-Celtic band that has made a few swings around North America that I've missed.
