Delphic, a foursome from Manchester was formed out of the ashes of some of the member's previous band, Snow Fight In The City Centre . Currently on tour with Bloc Party in Europe, Delphic has a sound reminiscent of New Order and has even been compared to one of our favorites, Klaxons. Their live shows are a seamless composition of authentic yet progressive live dance, free from jokes and mindless banter. They figure the audience is there to listen to their music, not to try to make throw out one-liners. They [...]

Delphic- Counterpoint (waiting for approval to post)- enjoy the video (below) for now. Delphic- This Momentary Monitor (Remix) (Link 2) And on the Sixth Day, God created Manchester. Manchester has rested on its laurels for a long time: it's consistently proven the breeding-ground for the greatest bands that England has ever produced - count them: Joy Division, The Buzzcocks, Magazine, New Order, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Oasis. Since 1996, this city has turned out no-one that has dared to really reach for the stars through the northern [...]
If you're fiending for some deliciously wonderful electro-pop, you can't go wrong with Manchester's own, Delphic [Myspace] who are set to release "Counterpoint", their first single, on 4/13, on Belgium's classic electronic label R&S. "Counterpoint" is an epic, a timelessly optimistic pure rave moment produced by Berlin-based producer/remixer Ewan Pearson, who is soon to start work [...] [[ This is a content summary only. Manchester's Delphic release "Counterpoint" , their first single, on 13 April, 2009 on Belgium's classic electronic label R&S. It will be available on 123 and download. Delphic are Richard Boardman, Matthew Cocksedge and James Cook , and have been together for only a year. They make their music on laptops before figuring out how to play it live, throwing guitars, bass and drums over the electronics to result in their unique sound, then take to the stage and stitch their songs together into one continuous euphoric DJ set-like onslaught. [...]

Delphic = Rock inspired, electronic fused, with melancholy spirit. Seems Delphic is starting to creating a stir in early 09, while touring and opening for such groups as Bloc Party and The Streets in the UK. Once they hit states-side, I imagine they will be greeted with open arms. Delphic - Doubt Here is a vid of Delphic performing live: Setlist: 1. "Clarion Call" 2. "Doubt" 3. "Sanctuary" 4. "Halcyon" 5. "Submission" [...]
