To give credit where credit is due, I discovered Washington producer Nature Rage via DFRNT's ever impressive Insight podcast , a monthly affair which showcases talent so underground and fresh it's the musical equivalent of a baby mole (I believe the technical term is 'pup'). On his twitter account Monsieur Rage states that he makes "DEEP electronic music with lots of BASS" and it would seem that he's pretty good at it too. DFRNT - Turning Back by DFRNT DFRNT is a UK electronic music producer with a new EP out on Nu Directions titled Emotional Response . Stream the whole thing here . Sadly, "Turning Back" is not on the release, but it does make for a good introduction to this guy. On the track, a dub reggae bassline pushes some low-end frequencies while shimmering synths and horn hits bounce in every direction with echo. Smooth atmosphere, smoother execution. What's not to like?

We komen er onder meer onze favoriet Myrkur weer tegen. Ook Alex Cowls zelf staat er op met een DFRNT dubtechno track. Hoogtepunten zijn er genoeg op deze gratis verzamelaar.
