Ah, well. I got my hopes up so high for Diddy 's starring role on Downton Abbey and it turned out that the whole thing was just a big dumb publicity stunt for the mogul's Funny or Die video, which was actually pretty funny, but not as funny as actually having Diddy on Downton Abbey would have been. But still, well played, Diddy. Well played. The sketch, coming off the heels of the announcement that Downton Abbey would have their first black cast member, sees Diddy joining as Lord Wolcott, the [...]

Sean 'Diddy' Combs turned heads yesterday when he revealed himself to be the newest cast member of Downton Abbey . An accomplished actor in his own right, having appeared in last season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and opposite Russell Brand in the film Get Him to the Greek , the news was plausible enough to force a producer for the show to issue a statement denying he'd been cast. As it turns out, Diddy has teamed with Funny or Die for a hilarious new spoof which casts (or, superimposes) [...]
After teasing some "special news" earlier today, rapper and unintentionally hysterical person Diddy has announced via Twitter that he is joining the cast of the critically acclaimed ITV period drama Downton Abbey. Nothing about this makes sense and he was probably hacked, but if it is true, it is the greatest news in the history of entertainment. See his tweets below. MY BIG NEWS: So happy to announce that Im a series regular on DOWNTON ABBEY-my favorite show+i'll be debuting a sneak peek tonight 12am PST! [...]

Although you may only recognize Cassie from Diddy's Instagram and/or her various alt hair styles throughout the years, she's actually been keeping pretty busy as of late. She released her 'RockaByeBaby' mixtape last month, (which got a surprisingly good review from Pitchfork), and it's already sprung two singles, including "Numb" and "Paradise". And I guess it's safe to say that this remix via producer Austin Millz is only going to increase her momentum in the weeks that follow. posted by @clarkbs

Choosing the ten best songs by one of Brooklyn's most beloved children, the Notorious B.I.G., is essentially a fool's errand. The rapper, né Christopher Wallace, had too dynamic a scope, despite his catalogue being limited to his debut, Ready To Die , and its double-disc follow-up, Life After Death . At times he was Aesop, others Hitchcock, often Don Giovanni. While there are many in the canon who are adept storytellers or able to spin clever yarns about their money, women, and other ephemera, Biggie Smalls was able to finesse the English language in a way that hardly [...]

Rapper (and Spring Breakers star) Gucci Mane briefly changed his name to "Guwop" yesterday, before reneging thanks to an immediate Twitter backlash from fans. It's not the first time a rapper's changed monikers mid-career, or even the most dubious choice of nickname — though "Guwop" is certainly up there. Plenty of MCs don't seem particularly attached to their chosen stage names; in fact, some of them even switch it up multiple times. We've compiled a list of rap's most high-profile name changes and the reasoning behind them, from the perfectly reasonable to the totally bizarre. [...]

We get it, it's Friday. You don't want to challenge your brain. You want to sit back and be entertained while you pretend to do work. Well, we have just the thing for you, depending on how loosely you define the word "entertained." You may know that Diddy is the peddler of fine Ciroc vodka. Well, he is also the peddler of AQUAhydrate water, along with Mark Wahlberg . Which is why the two appeared on Ellen today (March 1). Even though what they're shilling is "fitness water," the drink still bears the same [...]
