Este año, la banda lanzó su disco I Bet on Sky (Jagjaguwar, 2012) Como parte del aniversario número 30 de la disquera PIAS , Dinosaur Jr. estrenó una versión acústica de su canción "This Is All I Came To Do" del disco Beyond ( Fat Possum Records , 2007), aunque esta canción salió hace cinco años, la banda nunca la había lanzado hasta ahora. Además, el grupo se presentará en los NME Awards el próximo 4 de febrero en el Electric Ballroom de Londres.
Kurt Vile and the Violators opened at Dinosaur Jr.'s 25th Anniversary Show this past Saturday, December 1 at Terminal 5, which was posted by NYC Taper today and is available for free download HERE . So the almighty [PIAS] Recordings this year celebrate their 30th Anniversary of existence. Don't know about them, but when I turn thirty in a now fathomable, and therefore terrifying few years' time I'd want for J Mascis to record a bristly acoustic rendition of an almost forgotten Beyond track. Heck – I'd most likely have plumped for This Is All I Came To Do, though that one's now been already done, the bittersweet, and all too often forgotten Dinosaur Jr. paean to the helplessly lovelorn here emotively exposed as the slow, slow burn belter [...]
