Last night I dragged my mate who hasnt slept in 3 days to this Dinosaur Pile Up homecoming gig, sponsored by Miller Beer, at The Brudenell (also affectionately called "The Brude"). He was literally falling asleep at the table. But, a pint of guinness and a double rum and coke later, he was awake enough to ask the band a silly question during the Q&A which included the word "poo" twice and something about a brown sleeping bag. Dinosaur Pile-Up are set to play a re-scheduled Dublin show at the Academy 2. The new date is this Friday, June 17th. All tickets for the original show remain valid. The band have also added a new date at The Half Moon Theatre Cork on June 18th. Live at Leeds have announced their final wave of acts for the festival. The three day festival of music and art will take place on Friday, April 29th to Sunday, May 1st at various venues around the city. One wristband will get you into most gigs, costing only £17.50. Villagers will commence festivities on the Friday night with a special show at The Brudenell Social Club, seperate tickets are needed for this one. Leeds alt-rock band Dinosaur Pile-Up recently did an acoustic version of 'Maybe It's You' for Manchester Screenwipe , a Web site described as "an online channel devoted to bringing together and uniting one of the world's greatest music scenes….Manchester". Sounds like a great idea to me. This track is from Dinosaur Pile-Up's debut album, 'Growing Pains', released in October 2010. Click here to view the embedded video.
