Stepping over at Diplo and Friend's BBC Radio 1 a couple weeks back was resident Rinse FM DJ Oneman , with a tremendous 60 track(!) mix session. Going into details of the behemoth set is possible overkill, but Oneman doesn't leave too many steps uncovered. It's heavy in acid house, hip-hop, and endlessly engaging. This was always going to happen, wasn't it? And guess what, it has. EDM heavyweights Diplo and Skrillex are set to team up as a DJing duo. The pair will debut their new "supergroup" of shorts at the  Mad Decent Block Party  in San Diego on 15 September, performing together presumably for a very tall fee. Of late, Skrillex has been sharing the stage with Boys Noize as part of a new collaboration called Dog Blood . But as MTV reports , ol' Sonny Moore also has a project brewing with Diplo . They're calling themselves - wait for it - Jack U, and not only do they plan to release music through their joint YouTube venue POTATO , but they'll also perform live. When this year's  Mad Decent Block Parties lineup and tour dates were announced Tuesday (April 30), it looked as though Diplo would be pulling double duty, performing both on his own and as part of his dancehall project Major Lazer . You may have noticed on the recent lineup announcement for the 2013 Mad Decent Block Parties that there were a few acts you may not have known. Back when Skrillex , Diplo and A-Trak were teasing " Potato Will Eat You ,"   many speculated that their cryptic messages were hinting at a new supergroup being formed. Diplo 's party-happy label, Mad Decent, is rolling out another string of Mad Decent Block Parties. This year the tour will hit 13 cities and briefly turn outdoor venues in each into blown-out, blaring dens of dancing and debauchery. Diplo's Mad Decent Block Party grows a little further expanding to a wholesome 13 cities, doubling since last year ! New cities that'll be on the receiving end of decent  jams include Brooklyn, Detroit and San Diego. No one could have expected the "Harlem Shake" to blow up to the prodigious scale it did - from YouTube virility to the top of the charts. The success of  Baauer's  ubiquitous single not only spawned a thousand internet spinoffs, it also incurred a  lawsuit for copyrighted samples  against Mad Decent. Both Hector Delgado and Jayson Musson pressed the label for compensation over the track's use of unlicensed samples. Diplo , as the head of Mad Decent, has come to aid of the label's blossoming trap star, settling the legal dispute with Delgado and Musson and clearing the "Harlem Shake" samples. [...]

Diplo has revealed the trials and tribulations of coming to the point where he was almost forced to fold Mad Decent. The head honcho of the popular label admitted Mad Decent wasn't in as a rosie state as it appeared in the public confessing Baauer's 'Harlem Shake' track came at the exact right time; "Honestly, that record was the thing that saved the label, because a year ago we were going to fold because we couldn’t figure out how to make money. Then we just started giving music out for free and it worked out." - (Jeffreys label) [...]

As we previously reported, Baauer was in some potentially hot water over two uncleared samples on his smash single "Harlem Shake". But thankfully for everyone involved, the producer's label head, Diplo, stepped in to save the day. The Mad Decent leader told  Huffington Post  that he got in touch with the artists behind the samples, Jayson Musson and Hector Delgado, and got everything cleared.
