Celebrating the 10th Year Anniversary of The Diplomats album Diplomatic Immunity , Babylon Cartel has teamed up with Gianni Lee & Mike Blud to compile the samples from the double disc classic. Definitely something I can get behind, and I was definitely one of the biggest Dipset fans in the Chicago area from 03-06. Anyone else at the Juelz, R.Kelly charity bball game at Simeon in 05? The Tanboys are quietly beginning to be seem like the BCC to A$AP’s Wu-Tang. Yeah, I know comparisons of new rappers to giants of the past are cliché and tired, but it can help add a little context. Also being that the Tanboys are pulling from two decades of NY rap it’s more likely that they’re synthesizing Dipset, Terror Squad, and G Unit than the aforementioned. Earlier this year we highlighted BAMZ 's razor blade autobio raps on “My Name Is” , but here he and Willie HEX trade boastful verses over an aerial loop and sinister [...]

Here another one from the Rotterdam hair man Munchi. One of the founding fathers of Moombahton has evolved to the Dirty South Trap with the godfather of production, Trap-A-Holics. If you were in the Hip-Hop game you know that classic Dipset anthem, well now its hit our dance floor. Grab some free downloads in the Soundcloud description. Deen doesn't believe in R&B duets. I'm gonna say this real quick: I don't really listen to Jim Jones. Ever. Unless I have to. Ballin' was a smash that brought us all together with a "dance" even the most uncoordinated among us could do. After all, he's an ex-weed carrier best known for ruining Dipset, being on VH1 (so I've heard/read) and stealing from Max B (more later). However, I had to make an exception for this particular track when I saw the featured guests: Killa and Weezy. Granted, neither gent is his [...]
I got Foxy and Juelz together and threw em on my Babymaker 2 mix...Watch how it went down.

In their new webseries titled "In The Pink with Cam'ron" DD172 does what they do best and cover Cam'ron & company through his day. In the 1st episode Cam attends a video shoot with Wiz Khalifa, and gives us a sneak peak of his new clothing line, "Pink Label" which is set to hit the USA soon via France. Shouts to Cam one of the biggest influences on today's scene, especially in NYC. And for me it will always be Dipset All Day. DD172.TV [...]

Harlem's vampire, Jim Jones, nabs both Lil' Wayne and fellow Dipset member, Cam'ron, for his remix to "60 Rackz." This one comes equipped with solid verses from all parties involved, a dope beat and a Mase diss from Killa which, in my opinion, doubles as a slight toward Wale and everyone featured on his remix to " Slight Work ." "“I be me, you be you, apologies to Groovy Lou. Sorry bruh, I ain’t fucking with Ma$e, yeah yeah tell him you be cool. Me I rep that Hud 6, I ain’t even going [...]
Anticipation for Drake’s Club Paradise tour stopover at Jones Beach, an outdoor arena in Long Island, was colored by two recent news items: label-mate Nicki Minaj’s withdrawal from Summer Jam and a supposedly bottle-tossing nightclub ... read more
This is one of this instances in which there's really not much I can say other than look down and peep the full lineup for this year's Rock The Bells. Oh wait, I have a few thoughts: Why is Mac Miller on there? No, wait, why is 2 Chainz on there?! This lineup is way too stacked and has too many big names. It's become clear that Rock The Bells has become overwhelmingly mainstream, which is fine. Gotta get paid, right? But why do they have to do [...]

Head of Dipset Cam'ron, who has been off the map for a while now, has actually released a track today that isn't just an internet leak but an actual release. The track, "Fuck You", has yet to be deemed anything other than a randomly released joint but there is talk of a new project called "Killa Cam: The Gangster Side" in the works. Stream the new track below and hopefully we'll here some more from the Harlem rapper in the near future... Buy on iTunes
More Cam with his Cousin Bang shtick.

photo by Blair Smith I was kind of surprised when I saw this collaboration. Mac Miller and Cam'ron are two very divergent styles, as well as backgrounds. They converge on the new song, "Dig That", with production by Big Jerm. Mac Miller: "Dig That" feat Cam'ron

Paid Dues is loading up with talent and they're not even done yet. Accompanying headliners Wu-Tang Clan and Odd Future are The Living Legends, Dipset, Hieroglyphics, Kendrick Lamar, DJ Quik, Psycho Realm and Dilated Peoples. The festival takes place on April 7th at Southern California's NOS Events center. (Did I mention April 7th is my birthday? Pretty sure I did .) By the way, Paid Dues isn't done adding talent. More updates when I get them. Sean Tags: paid dues , wu tang clan
