A lot of props and respect to our friends at Stereogum as they had a pivotal hand in putting this collaboration album together. Stereogum asked both parties to be involved in a benefit concert last year. After both committed, they went a step further and asked if they would like to collaborate. Both Björk and Dave Longstreth from Dirty Projectors both agreed and birthed the idea of doing a concept album called Mount Wittenberg Orca. I just listened to Mount Wittenberg Orca EP and I think Bjork just cast a spell on my mind. This collaboration between The Dirty Projectors and Bjork is 21-minutes of insane vocal madness that started from a benefit show in Manhattan's Housing Works Book shoppe.
