"A friendship between college girls is grander and more dramatic than any romance..." This is especially true if the friendship has a great soundtrack. Thankfully, Girls does. HBO's hit dramedy Girls just recently finished up its second season trying to live up to all of the hype built up by its hugely successful debut. The season definitely had a darker feel; it dealt with some mental health and alcoholism issues. But, being as Judd Apatow is the show's executive producer, you knew there had to be some hilarity - specifically with instances like Hannah's home-done haircut, trash dumping, [...]
Canadian producers Sultan & Ned Shepard have been releasing dance music as far back as 2007, but only recently really gaining steam and grabbing attention with big room hits like " Walls " (featured on Tiesto's Club Life Vol. 2 ) and " Somebody to Love " with Dirty Vegas and collabs on huge tracks like Morgan Page's " In The Air ." Now they're back again with a free download of a new track called "Organ Donor" from their Facebook page . On this one, they strip out the poppier big room sound [...]

Following up Third Party's admirable remix of " Somebody To Love ," Paris and Simo offer their different nevertheless exciting preview. Maximally utilizing Dirty Vegas's vocals as their big room chords slowly creep in, the boys take a thrilling twist to the darker side. The grinding bass lines, enormous drum work, and skyward driving notes dispersed throughout the drop, make Paris & Simo's remix one to be reckoned with. No release date as of yet but we will keep you updated. You just finished reading Sultan & Ned Shepard vs. Thomas Sagstad [...]
Following up their latest single " Thank You ," Third Party's "Somebody To Love" is another deservingly placed record amongst the Size Records family. Doing what they do best, Harry Bass and Jonnie Macaire created a track filled with melodic surges and harmonic undertones, which couldn't fit more perfectly with Dirty Vegas's emotional vocals. Topping it all off is Third Party's solid drum-work that they never fail to bring to the table. Making their NYC debut at Size In The Park , September is most certainly an exciting month for the English duo. Purchase: Beatport [...]

In August Australian DJ/producer Jaytech issued his second full-length album, Multiverse , an album that was three years in the making. In a candid interview, our Kathy Vitkus talked to Jaytech about his latest endeavor featuring collaborations with Nathan Grainger and Dirty Vegas' Steve Smith. You’ve been quite busy since Big Shot spoke with you at Ultra Music Week in March 2011. Your new album, Multiverse , has just been released. What do you plan to do with your spare time or breathing room that you're experiencing these [...]
OK, if there’s two things you know le love ‘round these parts it’s cheesy Pop and Disco, and London’s Nude Disco is fast becoming our go-to guy for slick combinations of the two. Especially when teaming up with Dirty Vegas’ Paul Harris . Remember Donna Lewis ’ I Love You Always Forever ? Prepare to get funky with it. Vern and Paul grab a hint Italo, a little of the Balearic, a sprinkle of Nu-Disco and mix it up with pitch perfect use of the vocals to create an instantly recognisable, but funky [...]

My first Red Rocks show of the summer, Ghostland Observatory with Mimosa and Zion I as special guests - an energetic, dancey, fun filled evening - to think I almost didn't go, I had tickets for STS9 the next night and thought how could this match their performance from Snowball? Not only was it matched, it was TOPPED, call it the Red Rocks magic, call it the crowd vibe, call it our "FukYah FukYah Krew" (which funny enough started at Snowball), the amazing weather, front row experience, new tracks, lasers, or once again Aaron Behrens crazy yet amazing dance moves. I left wanting more and [...]

Fred Falke and Tim Goldsworthy have both produced remixes of Dirty Vegas' 'Emma' for a new EP. Black Strobe and Pezzner also joined the heavy hitters, but the Goldsworthy remix is an obvious highlight. Check it out below. 'Emma' (Tim Goldsworthy Remix) - Dirty Vegas

Most widely recognized as that song from that Mitsubishi Eclipse commercial, 'Days Go By' peaked at the number 14 spot on the Billboard 100 back in 2002. The English duo of Ben Harris and Paul Harris, no relation, are still kickin around the EDM scene and even released an album ( Electric Love ) last year. The group broke up briefly from 2005-2008. Dirty Vegas - Days Go By 'Days Go By' is one of the pioneers of "old" electronic music. The tune found its way onto the billboard charts and into [...]

It's still early enough in the year to make a resolution, so if you're struggling to find one, make it your mission to tune into Bouncebug regularly. Most days you can find a steady supply of new music, album reviews and interviews from the best in the business to up-and-comers. With that being said, it is my pleasure to present, TENDERLIONS . John & Evan have been clawing at the scene in San Francisco with both live and DJ sets and recently unveiled some new work since their IN 3D EP. Definitely the heavy, dance-worthy electro you've been searching [...]
![[LP] Penguin Prison – PENGUIN PRISON (w/ every Penguin Prison track TBE has ever posted)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3957882_lg.jpg)
i got a car that i call jenny, i take her out when there's too much noise in my head ♫ Penguin Prison - A Funny Thing [from 2009 ] ♫ Penguin Prison - The Worse It Gets [from 2010 ] The October 18th release of Penguin Prison's self-titled debut is interesting for a couple reasons. The first thing is that I didn't know it came out until 6 weeks late. And I think the second thing is directly tied to the 1st. Penguin Prison has been around so [...]
Here's my take at the standout tracks of 2011, all of which got a lot of PT on my iTunes this past year. Tried to minimize repetition from the other lists as much as possible, so be sure to check out Jordone's top ten list as well, which had a lot of serious contenders for me and a couple I had to re-post. 10. Mumford and Sons- "The Cave (Sound Remedy Remix)" 9. Nero - "Me & You" 8. [...]

How was 2011 for you? Steve Smith: 2011 was an amazing year for us, we released our new album, played shows all over the world and saw/heard so much great new music out there. Highlights? so many. We played famous festivals again like Coachella, Ultra and SxSw. But we also got to play new festivals like Neon Desert in El Paso and Hellowfest in Mexico, both of which were truly exciting events. We also reach #6 in South Africa with our song "Little White Doves." We played in China for [...]
