Disco Inferno, "Second Language " The article on the KEXP page refers to them as being part of the same genre as Joy Division, which is apt, but really I hear more of a likeness to The The and The Communards (and by extension Bronski Beat). Seien wir mal realistisch: Ist schon fast egal was da noch kommen mag, die visionärste Platte des Jahres erscheint morgen. Mag sein dass es kein Album ist, mag sein dass es nicht brandneu ist, aber die fünf EPs von Disco Inferno , die jahrelang nur second hand zu bekommen waren und hier erstmalig versammelt sind, sind auch anderthalb Jahrzehnte später Zukunftspop, wie es ihn wohl nie wieder zu hören geben wird. Vielleicht liegt es gerade daran, dass die technischen Möglichkeiten zum Interfacen von Rockinstrumenten und Elektronik relativ beschränkt waren, vielleicht gibt es heute einfach zu viele Optionen, so dass [...]
