Monkey Wrench - Facebook | Twitter | Soundcloud Dismantle did a facebook post about these guys from Bristol not too long ago and I was extremely happy when I pressed play. The use of the R&B Vocal samples are amazing on these two UKG tracks. The original songs were songs that we used to always jamm out to or grind to at school dances way back in the day. So for these gents to take that same nostalgic feel and relate it to music that I've [...]

Skream is crazy. So is kuduro, so when Skream makes some kuduro, does that make it double crazy, or do both crazies cancel out. Who cares - kuduro is some of the coolest stuff out right now and it's getting made by some of the best dance producers in the world but not reaching nearly enough ears. It originated in the 19802s, but now with electronic producers trying their hand at it it has gotten a little out of hand, in a good way. It has beats similar to the dembow moombahton beat with some other elements of moombahton, but [...]

And whether you love it or hate it, Computation by Dismantle, is still doing big things in the clubs. One of the key tracks at Outlook this year, we actually love it. Taken from Dismantles Computation / World Dance EP , its one all you budding DJs should have. But it here . Facebook and Twitter him.
As I walked up a crowded staircase on the weekend of Halloween I passed by some familiar faces: Skrillex , Zeds Dead and others. This event had by far highest level of security, because backstage was only people in this industry. I had the pleasure to meet up with some of the pioneers of the genre you've learned to love. Skream and Benga . Their last night on tour would end in LA. This is what I picked from their brain. Skream likes to talk first as he grabbed my questions from me. [...]

Skream and Sam Frank's follow up to their first single " Where you Should Be " entitled " Anticipate " was released this week on Skrillex's 'OWSLA' record label. " Anticipate " is another look at the chilled side of Skream's pillow. The single dropped this week and with a music video to go with it this song is nothing short of epic. Almost a Frankensong made of Calvin Harris-esque synth chords, dreamy m83-type vocals, with a Caspa 'Back for the First Time' bassline. This song kills it and there are some dandy remixes as well to go along with it [...]

Wobble Wednesday is here to get you through the hardest part of your week. The smooth, sub-bass of the "old school" sounds are still being produced today. This is 70/140BPM bass music designed to calm your soul. It draws heavily from the ragga, jungle, reggae, dub, grime and garage genres. For lack of a better description, the music on Wobble Wednesday is dubstep that embodies the reggae/dub roots from which dubstep arose. Come back every Wednesday for Wobble Wednesday - and stay tuned to Earmilk for the evil side of dubstep on Friday with [...]
