The weekend has come and gone, and now you're deep into your weekly grind. Never fear, Wobble Wednesday is back with more of your favorite face-melting bass drops to help you make the most of your mundane lifestyle. Today I'll be guiding you along through the many variations of bass music that we see these days, new and old. I wanted to turn the Wobble Wednesday feature into more than just a section for today's dubstep, so I decided it was only right to incorporate some drum & bass as well as an oldies section into the weekly feature. [ Tectonic ] Distance has been applying industrial metallic textures to his bleak and foreboding productions for over half a decade. One of the "school of 20043 dubstep originals, his sound has always been cut from a rather different cloth, subtly referencing heavy metal while retaining an elephantine groove. He has released a number of tracks on Tectonic in the past, the pairing making perfect sense as both label and artist have [...]
Tunnidge has recently hooked up with Distance and the Chestplate crew with a view to release some seriously damaging music. Check this. Then, for some background... Damian Bennett: This stuff is... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Most of what you'll be listening to here is often referred to as dubstep, but can encompass all genres of heavy bass music. That's what Wobble Wednesday is all about. [...]

This five track EP for London's Dogmatik imprint delivers 5 distinct flavours of modern house music from accomplished producers Mark E, Dusky, Stojche, BUBBA and Dimi Wilson. Having helped shape the career of Maya Jane Coles in it's early years Dogmatik is a label that has seen growing attention of late and the imprint's reputation is far from shabby for good reason. 'Various Artists Part One' takes in five tracks, each taking in a slightly different view of the increasingly fractured but never dull genre we call house. The undoubtable headliner of this release, Mark [...]
Sup, its Sunday, lets get down to some tunes. I've got a couple of heavy beats that will knock you straight to the dirt, which obviously can only mean good things on Sunday. This one is a track by London producer Distance , a display of his moving creation with charming vocals and a sub-surface bassline. "Falling" hits fast and keeps up an unstoppable force of intensity: Falling (Feat. Alys Be) – Distance This last track is it for now but believe me [...]
The whole dubstep filth phenomenon is something I've become less enthusiastic about in recent times. Although I am still partial to a booming sub, I'm not particularly in love with the robotic vomit gushing from bass cannons and other similar conceptual contraptions such as the mind of Skrillex (he's not real, is he?). Where I once would have rejoiced at a wugga wugga drop and tried to come up with a witty description along the lines of "dirtier than a dead dog in a dustbin", I now tend to just put on some garage and shuffle around like an old [...]

Announced today by Distance, the next release on his Chestplate imprint will feature 'Zombies', 'Scanner' and 'Narrow' by a new addition to the label roster, Sleeper. That was basically all the information provided and even the release date is yet to be announced. There will, however, be full previews uploaded soon. In the meantime, we must satisfy ourselves with the mercilessly short clips of 'Zombies' and 'Narrow' below. Sleeper's style essentially embodies the dark, industrial Chestplate sound that we are accustomed to and evokes images of gritty streets, tenebrous alleyways and all manner of similarly inky experiences. Yeah, I used [...]
Rain is coming later in the week, but for now I get to enjoy the sunshine and the coolness of a beautiful fall day. We did get out for a bit yesterday, but I ran into friends whom I haven't seen in ages, and we chatted for a long while so I didn't get as far as I'd hoped. Today Gracie and I will go down Cape; yesterday we went up Cape. For those of you wondering what directions I'm describing down-Cape means toward P-Town and up-Cape means toward the bridge. If anyone asked me east or west, I'd be [...]
