Xaphoon and Chiddy are back at it. Here's the first taste from their debut LP, Breakfast, which is set to drop sometime later this year. I must say that Xaph is the most promising producer I've heard since... maybe Dangermouse? The guy just flat out knows how to stitch together an amazing beat. Chiddy isn't my favorite rapper, I find him overly juvenile at times. However, he did set the world
Divide and Kreate has been putting out masterful mash-ups with interesting album covers for a while now but this one seems the most obvious. Adele 's " Rolling In The Deep " and Gnarls Barkley 's breakout " Crazy " instrumental seem made for each other. Will DangerMouse produce 23 for Adele. Doubtful. Will you enjoy this mash-up. I'm sure you will. Divide and Kreate - Crazy In The Deep
First off, go ahead and mosey on over to THIS INCREDIBLE SHINS PAGE and get all The Shins / Flake Music (pre-Shins) stuff you might need for the road. Don't worry though; if you don't know what you need I've parsed the best b-siders for you like sliders from grinders BELOW. It's ON! I don't [...]

Mijn eerste werkdag. Lekker. I Feel Good!
![[11/1000 Albums] Danger Mouse- The Grey Album](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2738221_lg.jpg)
by teepoo The Grey Album was never officially released due to copyright controversy regarding the usage of samples. The album is a appropriately named The Grey Album in that it consists of mash ups off Jay-Z's Black Album and the Beatles White Album . Jay-Z's rap is mixed with the psychedelic sounds of the Beatles, as well as clips from random interviews. Since the Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique not many [...]

Jay-Z at Bonnaroo 2010 - Photo by Shantel Mitchell Saturday of Bonnaroo brought us more amazing music than we could ever have hoped. We'll get straight to the point with this post, and describe some of our favorite moments of the day. Beitcher's Highlights : Saturday was probably my favorite day of the festival. From beginning to end, the day was jam packed with amazing acts such as The Melvins, The Dead Weather, Stevie Wonder, Thievery Corporation, Jay-Z, Weezer and, of course, Deadmau5 (just to name a few.) [...]
#25 Hercules and Love Affair - Blind Album: Hercules and Love Affair Year: 2008 Antony Hegarty has a voice among the most distinctive of our generation. His quavering, delicate voice reaches ambitiously for hope on the horizon in his work with Antony and the Johnsons (a project that produced some beauty but never quite suited me). I expected [Read Full Post...]

So a while back Dick Cheney shot his lawyer's face off (essentially), his political opinion on gun safety quickly became less valid, and we all laughed. Quite the unlucky situation for the lawyer, then again he was already unlucky to being Dick Cheney's lawyer and all. Actually, that probably isn't true, I bet that would be a pretty great gig for a lawyer... regardless our vice-president (at the time) accidentally shot his face - unlucky indeed. Looks like somebody never saw A Christmas Story . There are many lessons to be learned in that movie; one being [...]
The Jay-Z remix by Wallpaper. I posted yesterday got me fishing for all the '99 Problems' mashups in my collection. I thought his photo of my friend's dad gloriously rocking the 80's look at Dinseyworld was a perfect companion for this post: "I got 99 problems.... but a bitch ain't one" TRACKS: DJ Danger Mouse - 99 Problems [...]

![[MP3] Broken Bells: "The High Road"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2209581_lg.jpg)
We are not the first to post this song, I am aware of that. But, it doesn't really matter. The much anticipated collaboration between James Mercer (of The Shins) and DJ Danger Mouse, Broken Bells, have released their first track for free , and we'd be remiss not to point it out to you fellow blog-reading brethren. However, I can't help but feel slightly disappointed with "The High Road" - it's just not all that special. Yeah, we can hear James Mercer hit those high notes and Danger Mouse pound out some clean/slick production, but I was expecting something [...]

Today is my birthday. Like everyone, I share my birthday with a number of famous folks (Sergey Bubka, Marisa Tomei, Masta Ace), but one in particular stands out this year: Shawn Corey Carter. Yes indeed, the Jigga Man himself. I say this because '09 marks a milestone birthday for the two of us: Jay turns the big 4-0 this year, while I'm turning 35. Oh don't act so surprised, we told you we were old - the Ack turns the same next year, he just has the benefit, or curse, of looking eternally 18. [...]
Since the definition of what a hipster is can get kind of ambiguous, we found this handy project by Jessica Lehrman to help elaborate on some of the hipster variants. She does a pretty good job. Note the photos of Theophilus London later in the clip, although we have to say, we cringe at the term "Hip Hopster." It really doesn't matter if that's an accepted term or not, it's just terrible. If you don't understand why on your own, then we can't help you. At any rate, it's a pretty good run-down of hipsters in [...]

Produced by Mick Boogie and Terry Urban, we have another remix using samples of Jay-Z raps over rock vocals. We don't quite like this remix as much as we liked DJ Danger Mouse's The Grey Album , but we like it nevertheless. One mistake Boogie and Urban made in their production was putting samples all over the beginnings of the tracks saying "mix it up," "Terry Urban," etc. We get the point about who produced a track once we have heard the first sample naming the producer and if you need to put a digital watermark [...]

The Beatles - The White Album + Jay-Z - The Black Album /%+&* Dj Danger Mouse = The Grey Album. Danger Mouse'un zamanında popüler kültür amelesi Bansky ile mağazalardan Paris Hilton albümlerini aşırıp, remiksleyerek tekrar yerlerine koymuşlukları bilem olmuş, çok da über bir prodüktör kendisi, saygılar şirketten. "Woody Allen was an auteur: he did his thing, and that particular thing was completely his own. That's what I decided to do with music. I want to create a director's role within music... have to be in control of the project I'm doing. I can create different kinds of musical worlds, but the artist needs the desire to go into that world.... Musically, there is no one who has the career I want. That's why I have to use film directors as a model." - Danger Mouse, "The DJ Auteur" in the New York Times Magazine, June [...]

Dear Patients: Today we are droppin' the first remix here at the 115th Dream. We ain't talkin' about a remix by Puff Daddy, P Diddy, Diddy, damn...this is hard, what is that guys name? Well, either way our rock 'n roll stethoscopes aren't too keen on the scene. We completely understand if at this point yer stethoscopes are a little turned off by the idea of the mash-up. But for a moment set yer varied biases to the side and lend yer ears to a little piece of pop art. It can't be that bad...it's the Beatles. [...]
