A YouTube rip of an early version of Daft Punk's "Contact," the closing track from Random Access Memories , has appeared online. While there's been a lot of counterfeiting going on regarding cuts from the record, Fact Mag has reported the track was played during a 2002 DJ set in Amsterdam by Daft Punk's Thomas Bangaltar, Cassius, and DJ Falcon, who is featured on the song. The latest Daft Punk rumored RAM leak is actually an old, rough cut of the forthcoming album collab with DJ Falcon titled "Contact". According to the folks over at FACT Mag , who have reportedly heard the album in its entirety, this rough cut sounds similar to that of the newly refined album version. "Are we in this thing alone? Remember the song "Get Lucky?" Good. Now listen to "Control," an early version cut from the album, which literally sounds nothing like the former. The song does a complete 360 from the Pharrell x Nile Rodgers collab, as this one has EDM oozing from start to finish. "Control" features DJ Falcon , and expect a couple tweaks to be made to it sound a whole lot better when Random Access Memories takes the universe by storm May 21st.
