The Goodfellas - Impact (Phat Trax 1996) Phat Trax was a subdivision of the Trouble on Vinyl label that lasted from 1995 to 2001 featuring a whole host of undercover tunes that never received the attention they deserved. Although some of the producers were previously unheard of, the label did feature tunes from the likes of 175 Crew and Notorious J . As Trouble on Vinyl moved to a more technical stance, Phat Trax continued in a similar style to the likes of Urban Takeover, Dope Dragon and Philly Blunt. [...]

Calling all drum & bass and jungle heads, the one and only Blu Mar Ten are digging through the vaults and pulling out some classic mixes from 1992 and 1997. Apparently they found a whole bunch of mixes and are in the process of ripping the cassettes to MP3. Given the years these mixes were done the sound quality isn’t great as they were all recorded on belt drive decks through a mixer with no EQ and committed to cassette on a shabby home stereo…But what the hell, it’s 100% authentic ‘90s sound through and through. Splash Collective - The Rebels (Splash Recordings 1998) Splash Collective, also known as Daz Ellis, Splash, Kid Jay and Undercover Agent released ‘Rebels’ in 1998. The intro is simplistic, in a way, quite similar to 45 Roller’s ‘Stomp!’ with it’s bright ping samples and pitched up snare rolls.
