James Franco and Kalup Linzy will release a two song EP under the name Kalup and Franco . The duo's debut effort is co-produced by DJ /rupture , who will also be putting out the EP under his label Dutty Artz.

Actor/renaissance man James Franco can now add dance-music producer to list ever-growing list of professional endeavors. Franco is involved in a project called Kalup and Franco , a collaboration with drag video/performance artist Kalup Linzy . Franco reportedly liked Kalup's soap opera-inspired Conversations Wit de Churen video series and a collaboration was born. The duo's debut three-track EP, Turn It Up , will be released via DJ/rupture's Brooklyn-based label Dutty Artz as a digital download and a limited-edition 7-inch. Jace Clayton, better known as DJ/Rupture, has teamed up with Maga Bo to help raise some cash for a non-profit project they have called Beyond Digital. The second, assembled and mixed by DJ Rupture with Sharifa Rhodes-Pitts , focuses auditory gaze on the sounds of Harlem, NYC.
