Our pals in Dmerit have seen their tune, "Stuck On You," making the rounds, particularly with the help of remixes by Will Eastman and Autorock. Their remix EP became available earlier this month for download , and they'll be celebrating with release party here in D.C. tonight at U-Hall during Bliss . We put together a video for the Re-work version of the song, and we'd like to share that with you today.
My good friends, Dmerit, just released their Stuck On You remixes ep. Check out the rad video done by DC's Wilderness Bureau Dmerit, "Stuck On You" (Re-work) from Wilderness Bureau on Vimeo . And nab the tracks here !

No better way to start off the week than with a blissful remix from DC's Dmerit. The electro-duo mold The Gay Blades guitar-driven single "Try To Understand", adding a refreshing taste of disco-pop. Been cruising to this tune all week. MP3: The Gay Blades - "Try To Understand (Dmerit Remix)" - Stephen

Ahead of their October 5th sophomore release Savages , The Gay Blades hit the club with a remix to their first single off the their album, "Try To Understand". Washington D.C. electronic artist Dmerit and TGB combine forces in a funky disco-wave version of the tune, highlighting the howl of James Well's pop-punk garage voice. In fact, his vocals almost supersede the remix when you take the pop-punk garage band out from under him. Nonetheless, it's hip like a pair of bell-bottoms swishing down the boulevard on a sunny afternoon. Check out the track [...]
Back in the fall, New Jersey's traveling sideshow The Gay Blades made a pitstop in our nation's capital in the midst of a two month tour. We got to hang out with the boys backstage and got them to play a couple of tunes for us. The band's distinctive disco-glam sits in a particularly difficult place. Their sound shares much with glossy, commercial radio rock with songs that could sit pretty comfortably on MTV, yet at the same time it feels as though these guys are trying to pull a fast one on you. Their eccentric [...]

I said I was going to have an original mixtape for you all this week, but real life beckoned and I ran short on time. Blah, blah, blah. Next week, I promise. Luckily our pal AutoRock saved the day, gracing my inbox with a great mix titled FONK . AutoRock put together FONK in honor of the two year anniversary of his monthly party, MASS APPEAL . FONK fits in nicely with the disco vibe we've had going on lately here at CreamTeam, taking you through 45 minutes of soulful, dancey electrofunk [...]

Mujava - Township Funk [...]

Download audio file (stuckphantom.mp3) For those who don't know, Dmert is the pairing of Outputmessage and Micah Vallian and the name itself comes from their love of the Ramones' movie, 'Rock n Roll High School' and the scene in the film "where those pesky hall monitors kept chanting 'Demerit, Demerit." Their EP titled Stuck on You was released August 25th and although we are already making our way through September these tunes are still demanding a spot in the blogosphere. [...]

Suicide Sundaes – stop your grinnin’ and drop your linen. Every Sunday electblake and jsully of Earmilk will bring you the weeks dirty servings, and some old favorites through a throwdown-throwback to simpler times. A time when bangers were big, remixes were bigger, the bassline bled, and we didn’t care about anything as long as came in kicking and left screaming. To hell with sketchy sunday, we want to shove another dragon down the hole. This week we bring you the Earmilk debut of the [...]

Oh Death designs wicked t-shirts and blogs great music. What's not to like? Here are a couple of tracks that he recommends: Dmerit - Stuck On You (The Phantom's Revenge Remix) Gavin Burrows - Hands in the Air (buy the EP on Beatport)

Washington school teacher duo, Micah Vellian and Outputmessage - or Dmerit as they're known collectively - are back with their brand new EP, "Stuck on You," and it's an all-out cheery gambol through the realms of classic disco funk and surging 80's synth-pop. Everything about this is just so easily likable, it rolls over the senses like melting sea ice across the surface of the ocean in spring. And then time lapsed. You can pick up a copy of the EP here and here , and be sure to e-stalk them [...]

School teachers by day and electronic musicians by night . Dmerit from Washington D.C. in the U.S. just released their EP Stuck On You on the label Output Noise Records . The duo is made up of Outputmessage and Micah Vellian , and I'm just throwing things out there now but I'm guessing it's their or his own label. BANG! CLAIRVOYANCE! First off, I was really caught by the cool sounds they use in the track Audobons , it sounds like *suspense* and *sci-fi chase*.. Like in Fortress . And [...]

Imagine Daft Punk dipped even further in sweet, soulful vintage disco funk. Imagine synths that reach for the moon, with basslines that are so deep they aim for the sixth circle of hell, creating an otherworldly groove that will delight even the most hardened musical heart. Dmerit , comprised of totally underrated DC producer Micah Vellian , and internationally recognized 80s synthpop DJ, Outputmessage , have taken a love of French house, disco, soul, pop and funk, and synthesized it into a confectionery of collaborations. Available for your perusal is the Phantom's [...]

Thy inbox is packed with unheard music and only today have I finally found time to listen. First song to grace my ears is the work of DC duo, Dmerit (Bernard Farley and Miguel Lacsamana ). Dmerit was the chosen name to honour their day jobs as teachers and also refers to the movie Rock and Roll High School . The duo has put forth remix work for the likes of Michael Jackson and Madonna and have recently released their extended play, which features a remix by French house up [...]

Here are a couple of tracks I found in my inbox. Its been a while since I have posted anything which was sent and thought it was about time to do so. One of the tracks I found was a remix by a couple of 17 year olds from the South of France who go under the name of Night Drugs . From the first beat this remix gets you moving, with a strong steady beat right through, the synth lines over the top catch and draw you right in. I could imagine this track [...]
