It's official, Atlanta's Balkans announced their split-up via Facebook yesterday. They didn't mention any reason, but I think it's pretty clear. All the boys are very young and still have to find out where life's taking them. Balkans was a huge step for everyone into the business and into whatever. What will the future bring? Brainfeeder's Matthewdavid continues his promotional push behind his International EP with some crazy-nice visuals for the title-track. Any by crazy-nice, I mean completely insane, distorted, and trippy. You know, kind of like the track itself. I'm not really sure what's going on behind all the white noise in the video, but one thing's for sure: "International" is one hell of a track. From Dogbite's woozy, hypnotizing vocals to Matthewdavid's jazz-explosion production, it's just noisy bliss. Hit the skip for the video.
Tame Impala made rock n' roll cool again. They were stripped down, had the balls of a bull and still managed to tell stories, more importantly they managed to tell believable ones.
