This has been on DollFace's MySpace for a while and any buzz surrounding her is mainly because of this song, Miss Jamaica, which is quite simply very good. It has some similarities to a Red One production with its bleeps and electro influence. The chorus is incredibly catchy but the best bit is the sassy delivery of the line "If you like the spicy flavour mix it up with Miss Jamaica" which is repeated a lot and stays in your head long after the song's finished. DollFace is a 22 year old Singer/Writer/Musician & Performer from the UK. Her stagename 'DollFace' was born from her obsession with Barbie dolls and in memory of her late grandmother whose favourite film was 'Hello Dolly'. DollFace is the Founder of DOLLFACE MUSIC -her own record label - and she is also the Managing Director of her online fashion house which she runs with her mother. Her homemade video for the song. One of my songs of the moment comes from Trixie . British singer DollFace was a member of never-got-off-the-ground girl group Silhouettes, whose retro pop song "Surrender" Popjustice wrote about. Demo "Ms. Jamaica" has a very different sound than "Surrender," but I like it even more. Apparently co-written by Jasmine Baird, it's modern electronic pop with production elements that Trixie rightly compares to RedOne, though it's more a useful reference point for writers than real copying on the part of its creators.
