![[Listen] – New Song By Cults – "Abducted"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3358409_lg.jpg)
With every new song that I hear from Cult s, my anticipation-chubby gets that little bit more anticipatory. Does that even make sense? I don't fucking know, but with the rash of new bands that came out last year and released/are releasing an album this year, Cults and Yuck might be the only two who are consistently good . Tennis kinda fell by the wayside after releasing their debut album in January and new artist Panda Bear's album "Tomboy" literally sucked. Well now the kindly dudes at NPR are streaming [...]

MP3 Seekae is an Australian trio, and +Dome is their 2nd album. It came out in March on Rice Is Nice . On "Gnor," electronic and acoustic flavors meld into an interesting instrumental. Another thing about this track is that it's always moving in another direction, looking for a way out the moment it falls into a bit of a groove. If I skip from the 1:00 mark to the 3:00 mark, it sounds like two completely different songs. But the mutation happens gracefully in the [...]

[ We are pleased to welcome to these digital pages hit-writer and noted raconteur N-Lo. Those of you who know Clicky Clicky Managing Editor Michael Piantigini will probably be wondering why it took us this long to ensnare Mr. 'Lo. Well, he is wily. N-Lo's career has touched upon most of the forms of "old media," but we won't drop names. Instead we'll say, "welcome aboard" and "keep those vintage hip-hop references coming." -- Ed.] Hey, speaking of things that are a few months old and British -- I offer the latest [...]
48 in all. Took a whole week to sort them out and upload them on the Youtube. Great footage from True Widow, Young Adults, new Friendly Fires songs from their upcoming album "Pala" performed @ the Fader Fort. The very short set (15 minutes) from The Vaccines @ the Filter Magazine day party which mark my words, them Brits [...]

Mass. DOM were taking prisoners at The Satellite Sat. night after the shit-kickers had just swept through SXSW. The garage rock/alternative band did an excellent cover of Prince's "Little Red Corvette" and lightened up spirits on the rainy evening. Definitely a party favorite. Three days ago, I had a revelation while the wheels of my bike were spinning along the shoulders of a Nevada freeway. I decided that everything I knew was irrelevant. For the past four years, I've been writing a blog on Tumblr called California Cornbread . After 603 miles of thinking, being alone with my thoughts and isolation, my whole perspective has changed. [Audio clip: view full post to listen] Download: Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues I don't remember ever feeling so insignificant. I've spent the past [...]

![Listen To Bands I Loved and Hated @ [SXSW 2011]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3312178_lg.jpg)
Looking the part for SXSW South by South West (SXSW) 25th Anniversary was a shit show of music, fans, and characters. Forgive me if we spare you the details, and decide instead to cut the filler and get into the meat. These are the bands we heard, even for a moment, with a short reaction. Daedelus Reaction : Daedelus, born Alfred, continues to wear button down clothes that are far too hot for the occasion. We realize that regal and sweaty is a look, but [...]

[SXSW artists continue to head out west and L.A.'s got a thick batch of them all week. Here are three artists who are opening the next few nights up at some of our beloved local venues:] ► Cloud Nothings , "Should Have" — Dylan Baldi of Cleveland, Ohio, has not only outgrown his bedroom and laptop but also expanded into a band on tour in support of their self-titled debut. Cloud Nothings brings their catchy lo-fi pop songs to the Troubadour on [...]

Unless you've seen Cults live in the last 12 months then this new song is the first in close to a year ( except that "Oh My God" one they did with accompanying weird video ). This time in 2010 they had only just come bounding onto the scene, layered-guitar-driven-dream-po p in tow. They had upload three songs to their Bandcamp page and as soon as one blog got a hold of them they ended up everywhere, and rightly so, those three songs were gems. They've done a few guest appearances on other artist's [...]

My first band of the day, and of SXSW, was Ponderosa at the Paste Party but I missed my photo opp. Ponderosa were good old fashioned, southern rock, a good start to the day and a nice introduction to Texas. Next, I headed to the DC Does Texas party where after years of hearing her [...]

We are counting down the hours until Shey, Rocko and I hop on our respective planes from our humble homes and hit the hip streets of Austin, TX for SXSW. While we are all n00bz to the pure mayhem and insanity that is SXSW, we think/hope we have appropriately prepped our livers, iCals, eardrums, etc. for the days ahead of us. Although it is hard to tell how our days in Austin will actually pan out, we have carefully combed through every party, panel and showcase and prepared the following agenda in case you care to follow along or even [...]
