The track, which is over a majorly dope beat from Thelonius Martin, sports Hodgy and Domo doing some killer flowing. The two which seem to be really into their new collab, MellowHigh, keep getting better and better with each release and they never cease to impress with each release. The track does feature some outside help in the shape of production credit falling to Lex Luger . Something Hodgy and co often take care of themselves. See what you make of it all below.

Odd Future stoners Hodgy Beats and Domo Genesis have once again come together as MellowHigh , and with the help of street-rap producer Lex Lugar they've droped a brand new track titled "Timbs." The short song sees Hodgy and Domo rapping over a chill, soulful beat courtesy of Lugar, and it's well worth the listen. Stream and download it below (via Stereogum ).
Last year, I interviewed Odd Future livewire Hodgy Beats and asked him about Odd Future's since-relaxed policy about refusing to work with most outside collaborators. Hodgy said, "I'm not hating or anything, but I don't want to be rapping over a Lex Luger beat. Why would I do that? I have my own beats." When I pointed out that he and Luger, the reigning street-rap banger-producer, could probably do something good together, he relented a bit: "He's my age, so if that nigga wanted to collaborate, I probably would." And now here he is, rapping over a Luger [...]
Hodgy Beats and Leftbrain form MellowHype, to offset the hypeness, Hodgy and Domo Genesis are MellowHigh. Today they drop a new record, featuring production from Lex Lugar in the form of "Timbs". Lex Lugar's production is a little bit more boom-bapped out, and works really well here for Domo and Hodgy, who save a hook and chorus for a later record. This is simply #bahz. Listen below. Out of all the subgroups in the Wolf Gang, this contrasting blend might just be my favorite. Featuring a grizzly Lex Luger beat, "Timbs" is a chilling piece that we would be more than happy to see land on any forthcoming project.
