Indie? Alt-Country? Pop? Twang? Rock? I don't know but I like it.
As I write this, I have a stack of CDs staring me down next to me on my bedside table, looking at me as though I am a terrible person for not giving them the proper listening/enjoyment time that they require in order to write a review. So many amazing artists (new and old) have [...]
A man who loves the agony of writing songs. Don DiLego grew up in the 70's. He often wore a yellow polyester suit jacket and plaid pant combo that his mom thought "was really groovy", but in reality may have caused mental trauma. Once claimed to have once actually seen The Lone Ranger. First record purchased was Glen Campbell's "Rhinestone Cowboy", but mostly listened to dad's Frank Sinatra and Al Jolsen records. Lives in New York City across from Jack's Coffee. Would most likely pick up his acoustic guitar to write a song but should probably [...]
Tender and thoughtful, DiLego has made a very good album of audible Polaroids.
I first found "Falling into space" a while ago browsing through the Indie Rock department at Garageband.com but somehow forgot about it. Don DiLego grew up in the 70s in Massachusetts and is now living in New York writing songs (among other things). His music sounds, well, happy and that is what I enjoy most about it although the lyrics are also worth listening to: Darling you won't ever see the coming of your destiny while you are always staring at the ground Cause you're often in a love affair with [...]

On this album he plays an intriguing, emotional style of alt-country. When I say alt-country, I am keeping in mind he has more of a soft rock sound throughout the tracks, but overall keeping within the alt-country style for the album. The inspiration behind the album is very personal for Don, he had found some old photographs of his family from when he was young. He rediscovered his [...]
