The day just passes by so fast and I've already had to pace it up a little bit. Here's another two edit's from Lulu Rouge . This time they have been tinkering with two remixes by The Cure and Dragon , which has been remixed by Diblo and Shit Robot . As I've written before, and do again now, Lulu Rouge changes almost all the tracks they play in their dj-sets. Sometimes more than others, but edited they are. So just enjoy the music wherever you are! [...]

hola from south america! today im doing it in style and typing a post from an internet cafe.. oh la la. i dont really know if its the backpacker lifestyle, the buenos aires nightlife or the two combined, but i have never partied this hard in my life. i think its pretty much standard practice around here to walk out of a club at around 7am.. we havent really been in any state to "check out the sights".. but i hope that will change soon. anyway, with all these late nights/early mornings and attempts to sleep [...]
It has not been an easy task to compose to list. In the end I've decided to pick songs I've been playing out as a Dj to be shure they all work on the dancefloor. So here it is, enjoy! #1. The Twelves - Nightvision (Daft Punk) No doubt this is my winner 2009. I've finished so many sets with this song and I still can't get enough of it. I love also all cool graphics these brazilians make. [...]

British mockers makes great psychadelic disco house. Mock & Toof are two London based producers who record for Tiny sticks, japanese label Mule Musiq and my favourite DFA records. They have a unique sound and they have lately remixed artists such as Scissor Sisters, Madonna and Hot Chip just to name a few. Listen to more of their songs on myspace here . These are my favourite songs and remixes by these mockers: Mock & Toof - Underwater (Alternative Dub Version) Mock [...]

Cool disco from a couple of years ago courtesy of DFA's Irish connection Shit Robot...the tune itself is a bit of a builder with awesome baselines that keep you groovin! Dondolo- Dragon (Shit Robot Remix)

Well, the new WhoMadeWho album is out. I'm tempted to lie, but after my first listen I have to admit I expected something more. It's still very good but lacks the energy, chunky arrangements and quirky edge their self-titled debut had. I'm hoping on second/third/tenth listen it'll blossom into some magical tasty Danish butter cookie. But not yet. The songs that caught my ear which might be blogworthy, aside from TV Friend and The Plot, are Motown Bizarre because it's still got that classic peculiar sound, and Keep Me In My Plane which is just good solid WMW [...]

Happy new year cats and kittens! In Bariloche at the moment, such an amazingly beautiful place. Pretty surreal. Have been without internet and phone reception for a while until getting here, hence the delay in postage. Enjoying litre beers for under $2 AUS (probably about $1 US) yumyumyumyumyumyumyum. Anyway, I'm really excited about 2009. In particular, I'm looking at Mock & Toof to continue to rise up and create more stunning music and join in setting the nu disco trend. Black Jub is like a cosmic 80s video game discotheque jam which I really find irresistable. [...]

Time to go down a new wormhole. And its a good one. Here's the part where I talk about Hot Chip again. I know. Enough of them already. I only mention them for a brief second because I like learning about the influences of the bands I like and get a load of the remixes noted on their Wikipedia entry . Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see they've done a ton of them, dating back to 2004. Several bands here that I hadn't heard of... Am generally [...]
It's been a few weeks since I've posted, due to a general disinterest in writing and having other things to do - like play with the kids, or watch Around The Horn and PTI, or veg to CNN and so on and so forth. I have still been consuming as much music as before, I just haven't felt the urge to tell you about it. Well, that changes today with this funky Friday playlist. Dinosaur L - #1 (You're

Oh, here we go again. Another elusive foreign artist whose biographical information can only be sought after by those of his native tongue. I do not plan to tread through my broken French on an indifferent Sunday morning, so I will provide what little information I initially had about Romain Guerret, the man behind France's latest synth-focused phenomenon, Dondolo . Guerret, like recently acclaimed French electro duo Justice, largely credit forefathers Daft Punk for their impact on French synth and house music. In a revealing sense, Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo were largely responsible in the [...]

I had trouble finding any info online about Dondolo that wasn't written in his native French, so I pasted his bio into that handy little box on freetranslation.com , and this is what they told me: " Dondolo play a pop cyclothymique, strongly contrasted, passing pop punk yelled brulots to nursery rhymes electro-pop melancholic and playful. Sung just as well in English as in French, its pieces are a mixture (a collision?) of varied influences has incompatible priori, going Buzzcocks to Christophe, while going [...]
Busy, busy, busy-my apologies. From Philly to Brooklyn in 30 days is quite the maneuver for me, I'll admit that. I'll pop in sporadically over the next few days to drop some quickies on you, though, so don't worry. We have an ace (and accomplished) reviewer joining the team who will be introduced tomorrow. Tonight he is off to cover the Flaming Lips show so we should have some pics and thoughts up tomorrow. But today-ah yes-today. I must run but I'll leave a few gems for you to [...]
