Denny Bowen played drums in the great Baltimore punk trio Double Dagger until that band broke up, and now he leads the fired-up sludge-rock quartet Roomrunner. Bowen's new band are about to release Ideal Cities , an album of flattening riffery and boundless energy, and it's one of the better slabs of old-school fuzz-heavy underground rock that you're likely to hear this year.
