Sebastien Drums and best friend Rob Adans have teamed up to a deliver a fresh new tune, and by fresh, I mean more electro. While 'Resonorg' isn't as disco oriented as we've come to expect from the duo, they aren't ditching their French roots entirely. The electro ladened 'Responorg' has a heavy Daft Punk influence with robotic synths and dirty bass lines. Its a sound that reemerges time and again in EDM, more recently with Bingo Players' 'L'Amour' and Tristan Garner's 'Punx' . A vocal cut is currently in the works, stay tuned for that. [...]

The CW has been famous for bringing us plenty of teen drama in the form of hit TV shows ( Dawson's Creek , One Tree Hill , etc.), and even for introducing us to some science fiction drama (like Supernatural) . Both formulas came together to bring us The Vampire Diaries , based the on novel series by L.J. Smith. The Vampire Diaries Season 2 saw the plot thicken as the love triangle between Elena, Stefan and Damon grew stronger as new monsters were introduced to the show. That's right, you guessed it: [...]

Dot to Dot 2012 By Paul Faller Website / Tickets It's arguable that the UK is beginning to suffer from festival fatigue – even big names like Sonisphere have fallen victim to the tough financial climate. With that in mind, city-based festivals are looking like more and more of an attractive proposition, providing the opportunity to pick from a myriad of bands for a fraction of the price of larger events, and with the added bonus that you can worry less about [...]
Enjoy the beach-ready melodies of Two Wounded Birds. The band is reminiscent of The Drums (which is perfect cause they are on Jacob Graham of The Drums label, Holiday Friends Recording Company), with their catchy hooks, bouncy drums, and fuzzy-reverb drenched guitars. And don't you think there is something endearing about a British band playing [...]

To say that New York's HITS (formerly Jump into the Gospel) are inspired by the 80s is not doing the group justice. HITS are the 80s, period. The chorus in this "debut" single is the catchiest thing I've heard this week, and it makes a lot of sense that a former drummer for the Drums is involved. Retrostalgia abounds! The Drums wrapped up their US tour with two sold out nights at The El Rey Theatre. The hordes came early, left late, desperately wanting another encore. Openers Part Time and Craft Spells lived up to their role to warm up the crowd. Once Brooklyn's The Drums took the stage, screams and shrieks almost took down the chandeliers. Each tune only took one chord before fans began singing along. Photos by Andrew Hanson. [View with PicLens] [...]

Nothing mundane about this Monday: ► If this isn't the most helter-skelter It's a School Night ever, you can slap my hand with a ruler. On the bill (chronologically) for the RSVP-only night at Bardot are Malibu-bred beach-vibe duo Brandon & Leah ; followed by Bobby Woods' horn- and string-laden Les Deux Love Orchestra featuring special guest Robert Lamm of Chicago (yes, that Chicago ); followed by young folk songstress Alaska Reid [pictured]; followed by prickly indie-rockers the Henry Clay People . Oh, and there's a Penguin [...]

C=T contributor, Lara Webb, took in the Drums and Part Time last week for her first concert review. The Drums - Let's Go Surfing (The Raveonettes Remix) by Clickmusic "Many of the attendees of Thursday night's Drums show most likely weren't even a gleam in their mother's eye during the 1980's, but clearly have developed an appreciation and fondness for the music of that decade. The two opening bands, Part Time and Craft Spells, have perfected the wistful, synth-pop and [...]
